I didn't have any beef bouillon, so I used a package of brown gravy to moisten/flavor the mixture. I also added carrots, which I boiled with the potatoes in a separate pot while the meat and onions browned. It was quicker this way, rather than waiting for the meat to brown and then throwing all the veggies in and letting them soften.
