I followed the recipe but omitted the raisins. I also added a confectioners sugar glaze once they cooled. These are very fluffy and oh so good! My family and friends all request these regularly. I have certain people that come right over to grab one when they know I am making them.
These are the ones to make as long as you dont mind kneading a very sticky dough, but as the recipe poster reminded do not get tempted to add more flour-I did once and they dont rise and get as fluffy. I have made this in my Kitchen Aid and Bread Machine (dough cycle) and it turns out fantastic both ways.
