Cream Corn Like No Other

This tasted really good. I accidently forgot to add the parmesan cheese but it still tasted good and creamy. Served with pork chops, brown sugar carrots, and "Caramelized Brussels Sprouts with Pistachios."

Caramelized Brussels Sprouts with Pistachios

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2009
Used fresh picked brussel sprouts from the garden. Husband really liked the pistachios and onions which is odd because he's not a big nut mixed with food kind of fan. Served with pork chops, brown sugar carrots, and "Cream Corn Like No Other."

Really good. I cooked it on the stove top because I didn't get the recipe ready in the morning.

Cream of Pumpkin Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2009
I made my own pumpkin puree from leftover Halloween pumpkins. Since I made fresh pumpkin puree, I added about 2 T of cornstarch with 1/4 cup of water to thicken the soup. All I can say is WOW! The croutons made the soup taste like a pumpkin pie and the heavy whipping cream made a rich soup base. Who would have guessed pumpkin soup could taste so good!

Easiest Pot Roast Ever

Simple and delicious. Left out the celery because husband doesn't like it and the potatoes because I was going to try a new recipe. Served with PW's "Crash Hot Potatoes."

This tasted really good. I made the recipe directions a bit easier by adding everything in a pot and simmering until soft. Served with "Cabbage Rolls II."

Tasted great especially for a cold and dreary day. I made exactly as is with the exception of cooking on high for about 3 hour then low for 3 hours. Served with "Orange Glazed Carrots."

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2009
I usually don't like banana bread without nuts in it but this was EXCELLENT!!! I made 6 servings and made 6 perfectly cute muffins. Also, I used some thawed, overly ripe, or maybe I should say black bananas. In addition, I used only 1/2 butter and 1/2 applesauce to decrease the butter in the batter. Drizzled a bit of melted butter before serving. Next time I'll use 1/2 sugar and 1/2 applesauce with the addition to the butter modification.

I like sweet coleslaw and this hit the spot. I used a small head of cabbage from the garden, freshly dug up baby carrots, and about 2 T of vinegar. Served with "Cheddar Bacon Hamburgers," "Old Fashioned Onion Rings," "Belles Hamburger Buns," and "Pineapple Carrot Salad."

Old Fashioned Onion Rings

This was great. I double breaded the onion rings because I love the extra crunch. Next time I'll try the recipe as is or maybe with panko bread crumbs. Served with "Cheddar Bacon Hamburgers" with "Belles Hamburger Buns," "Pineapple Carrot Salad," and "Mom's Coleslaw."

This was really good and much better than expected. Used freshly dug up baby carrots. The only modification I did was to soak the raisins in the pineapple juice. Served with "Cheddar Bacon Hamburgers," "Old Fashioned Onion Rings," "Belles Hamburger Buns," and "Mom's Coleslaw."

Quick and Easy Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2009
I really like how fast and easy this pizza crust was to make. I made a Hawaiian style 16 in pizza. I would cook it for about 5-10 minutes extra to give it a less doughy taste. Very tasty and not too thick.

Baked Ziti II

I thought this tasted good but my husband loved it. I used "Homemade Fresh Cheese" for the ricotta cheese and "Brian's Favorite Sauce" for the spaghetti sauce. It made much more than 1 pan. I was able to make 1 full pan and 1 full loaf pan.

Breaded Brussels Sprouts

Served this with "Italian Breaded Pork Chops." I used the remaining breading from the pork chops after adding ingredients originally not in the recipe. I steamed the brussel sprouts, breaded, and baked. After baking, I then added the butter on top. Tasted really good.
