Shepherd's Pie VI
I rated this five stars after a second try making this with my own personal changes. In England this would be known as Cottage Pie because it is made with beef, if made with lamb it becomes Shepherds pie. I skipped on the cheese since it is not traditional and also left out the ketchup substituting for worsteshire sauce and steak sauce since I could not find "brown" sauce. I trippled this recipe and my family devoured it. I also left out the oil and browned the ground beef first then sauted the onion in some of the drippings. Peas were also added to the mix. I used a typical packet of brown gravy and also a few boullion cubes in place of beef broth. The kids loved it even the picky eight year old. There is enough leftovers for my husband to take for lunch.

Sweet Grilled Cheese
Not bad, I think as a previous poster wrote, I would have liked it with a cheddar cheese and maybe even some apple sliced paper thin on a nice sourdough bread. It will be something I will experiment with, I think my kids will enjoy it after they get over the shock that mommy is letting them have sugar for lunch.

Tangy Slow Cooker Pork Roast
This was very good my family really enjoyed it. The meat however was a bit dry, it could have been because I sliced it and let is sit for a few minutes. The gravy was fantastic I kept it thin and it worked well with spaetzle instead of noodles. My husband requested it again and this time we are going to shred it for sandwiches.
