About this Cook
My kids and my Grands are #1, then dog training, reading, the net, lol, and always and forever cooking and baking.
My favorite things to cook
in over 40 years of cooking in cafes and restaurants, (including one of my own that I retired from) I love to cook just about everything....I am ALWAYS open to new ideas and recipes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
my "secret" bbq ribs
My cooking triumphs
I now live in a retirement community, and since I have trouble after all these years of cooking for less than 100 :).....my neighbors love my cooking....and they are my triumph!
My cooking tragedies
OMG...husband was bragging about my baking skills so my mother in law asked me to bring the pumpkin pies for Thanksgiving....I was a new bride, and so excited that she had asked me to do that. To make a long story short....I forgot to add the sugar....oh well....lol

Fried Chicken with Creamy Gravy
My goodness...what is all this about the garlic salt....I LOVE garlic, but can't do the salt thing....I use granulated garlic or the real thing....but the granulated garlic works great...."hint" even on popcorn :) otherwise the recipe was okay

Easy Roasted Pork
This is a great recipe...I brown my roasts first (usually in day old coffee) and marinate over nite and then either use the cooking bag, or if you have pre-browned and marinated, just cook it in a slow oven for a couple of hours.
