Just me!
About this Cook
I'm in my 30's, happily married, work part-time in medical field and spend most of my time in my art studio, working on a project and listening to music.
My favorite things to cook
Baking is a challenge that I enjoy, and I love to grill and smoke. Cooking is a mood thing with me. At times a fussy appetizer or complicated recipe suits me. Other times I want something simple like scrambled eggs. My big peeve is H@mburg#r H#lp#r----I really object to fixing that stuff, let alone eating it!
My favorite family cooking traditions
One side is home cooken' country, the other is more upscale. I had the best of both!
My cooking triumphs
I cooked Thanksgiving dinner for 20 by myself and it was great!
My cooking tragedies
I am rice cooking impaired! Can't cook rice to save my life...Rice Cookers are brillant. Have also made some pretty awful ham and beans, not really sure how I messed it up, but it was baaaaaddddd!

Dirty Bedtime Story
Dad & I've made these and variations of for years. Blended w/ ice in summer & warmed in winter, tasty either way. For a real kick add some spiced rum! 2 shots of liqueur per drink is a bit wimpy for us.

Party Mimosa
This turned out great, despite using very cheap, sparkling wine, & changing apricot-mango to plain apricot, & pineapple to guava. Added ice and plain OJ. Fixed in blender enough for 2 servings. I'm drinking now while working on some x-mas snacks & it is very tasty. Great recipe!

Hot Scotch Cocoa
This is so good when it's cold outside, sometimes I add a shot of Brandy for extra punch!
