Yogurt Herb Dipping Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2010
I am eating clean in 2010 and I made this sauce to go along with the Spicy Turkey Burgers from this site. I omitted the sour cream because I didn't have any on hand and I still loved it.

Spicy Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2010
This was excellent! I am eating clean in 2010 and this fit the bill. Normally I find turkey burgers dry and not very tasty but these had a kick and were delicious. I served them with a fat free yogurt-cilantro sauce from this site.

Slow Cooker Sweet Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2010
I have made this twice. The second time by accident. It always sounds so good but my kids will not eat it. I am not sure if it is the thick consistency or what but I won't make it again. I think our family must lean more toward liking savory over sweet. I prepared it exactly as written.

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2010
This recipe is just too easy and comforting not to get 5 stars. It isn't gourmet maybe but it is delicious and my kids all ate it up!! There wasn't a thing left in their bowls. From this mom...that equals 5 stars! *I did add minced garlic, freeze dried basil, nutmeg and a sprinkle of Italian seasonings.

Tina's Best BBQ Lime Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2008
Excellent taste! I only used a 1/2 cup of olive oil and a 1/2 cup of lime juice from concentrate. The taste went all the way through and every bite was great. I used chicken breasts sliced to about 3 oz each. I served it with Quick Black Beans and Rice from this site as well. It was a great combo!

Easy Garlic Ginger Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2008
This was great, healthy and easy! My kids and husband all liked it. I served it with a side of rice and beans and a tossed salad. The marinade really sets in, in a very short time. I stir fried the chicken breasts in the skillet with olive oil.

This was excellent! I omitted file powder and the celery. I went easy on the green peppers. Even my kids ate it! I will definitely make this again.

Herb Roasted Pork Loin and Potatoes

I thought this was good but my husband and boys weren't fans. They said it was too plain. The next day I turned the leftover pork into Pineapple Pork Fried Rice which was yummy.

Chicken and Corn Chili

This was excellent! I used chicken tenders and gave them a quick chop and tossed everything in my slow cooker. I added one can of chicken broth as well. Super easy with great consistency and taste!

Korean Marinade

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2008
Fabulous marinade! I sliced my chicken breasts into thin filets. I made the marinade almost exactly as written. (I omitted the green onions). I marinated the chicken breasts for two hours and my husband grilled them. They came out wonderfully and my kids ate them up. I might try skewering them and making them as an appetizer sometime. I served this with a side of vegetable lo mein for a super tasty meal.

Sauceless Garden Lasagna

I loved this recipe!!! A great use of fresh garden tomatoes and zucchini. I used fat free feta and lowfat mozzarella and a packet of splenda, and based on 6 servings would be about 6 pts on Weight Watchers. Other than that I made it exactly as written! Excellent!

Tomato-Basil Zucchini

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2008
I found a big zucchini in the garden and needed a healthy side dish for dinner. This recipe was the ticket. I didn't use the tomato soup. Instead I used a can of chopped Italian tomatoes. I sauteed the onion and 3 garlic minced cloves and zucchini pieces before adding in the tomatoes. I thought this was very good and healthy stewed dish.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Ok, I have never successfully made cinnamon rolls until I found this recipe! Search no more! I don't have a bread machine either. I followed the suggestions from the first three reviews and that helped a lot. Be sure to eject them from the pan though onto wax paper. That is important! I made one pan with nuts and one without. My kids ate them up in the coming days...simply reheating before school. Thanks for a recipe for a lifetime!

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: May 3, 2008
I could eat this with a spoon, straight up!! I made this for our Mexican Fiesta last night. I didn't have raspberries but I did use raspberry jam as my preserve. I was worried about cutting up the apples but I added a little orange soda (pop) and still this morning they looked perfect. The taste was just terrific! I think it would be great on top of vanilla ice cream. :)

Cocktel de Camaron

I was looking for a recipe similar to ceviche and when I came across this I thought it sounded good. I made it for a Mexican Fiesta themed 40th birthday party! I made it exactly as written and it was delicious! Everyone enjoyed it and they were so surprised when I told them about the orange soda and ketchup sauce. Low cal, healthy too!

Pasta and Beans

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2008
This was one of those nights where I desperately needed groceries but didn't want to go. So I searched for a recipe that contained ingredients I did have and "wa-la" Pasta and Beans it is! A good start for a side dish but here is what I added/changed. I sauteed onion and garlic in olive oil, drained and rinsed beans, tossed in the beans and a can of diced tomatoes with Italian seasonings. Then I added the drained pasta (reserving a 1/4 cup pasta liquid) and tossed this all together. I sprinkled with a little extra olive oil, parm cheese, red pepper flakes and balsamic vinegar. I served it next to Herb Crusted Chicken and everyone ate it very well!

Overnight Caramel Pecan Rolls

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2008
Finally a recipe for Cinnamon rolls that works!! I have tried three times to make cinnamon rolls and none have turned out well. Finally on Easter I decided to give it one more try and it worked! At first this recipe intimidated me but I took it step by step and changed NOTHING and they were terrific. The best part was doing the work the night before and just popping them in the next morning. Next time I will eject them from the pans as I didn't do it right away on this batch. Delicious!! THANK YOU for this recipe!

Spinach Quiche

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2008
Excellent recipe! I made this for Easter and everyone enjoyed it. I used 2T butter and a dab of olive oil to saute the onion and garlic and fresh mushrooms. I also added one extra egg and just a half cup of milk. I used a combo of lowfat feta and sharp cheddar. I attempted to prebake the pie crust but it shriveled down into the bottom of the pie plate and I had to get out another crust! That trick didn't work for me but I was using a pillsbury ready made piecrust. Thanks for a terrific recipe!

Sicilian Spaghetti

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2008
I thought this was very tasty and made for a quick and easy side dish! I used my mini-processor to chop the garlic and anchovies (in oil with capers). I only did a 1/2 cup seasoned Italian bread crumbs and I used 2 Tbl. freeze dried basil instead of parsely. Super quick, easy and delicious! I used this as a side to my Tilapia Parmesan from this site.
