White Bread For The Bread Machine
All of the bread machine recipes have been disappointments (too heavy and dense) until this one -- thanks! Will finally be able to put our machine to good use.

Grandpop's Special Chocolate Cake
This recipe was really one of the easiest cake recipes ever and mighty tasty to boot. This recipe is virtually identical to "Dark Chocolate Cake II" with the difference of vinegar/vanilla between the two. So I just added both ingredients -- I always thinks vanilla boosts the chocolate flavor, and the vinegar probably made the batter puff up a bit more. My minor modification was to reduce the sugar to about 1-1/4 cups, as 2 cups seemed a bit excessive. The cake still tasted plenty sweet. I layered it with some strawberry sauce -- yummy!

Apple Cheddar Bread
What a disappointment and for Christmas breakfast too! Things that are wrong: 1. is it supposed to be sweet or savoury? As it is, it lies somewhere between, and the combination of cinnamon with cheddar cheese is not pleasing in an apple pie way, but more in a "something has gone awry" kind of way. UGH! either use more sugar, or remove it completely. These flavors do not complement each other. 2. Too oily. All the oil from the cheese plus the additional butter added to the mixture bubbles to the top of the bread as it is cooking and drowns itself in a pool of oil. 3. Dense. Or should I say brick-like? What can I say? a HUGE disappointment, and I very rarely give any recipes below 2 stars.
