I am from Germany and lived in Australia, Sydney between 1971 & 1992 I owned and manged 3 Restaurants in Sydney. I now live in San Diego California and cook only for fun. My specialty are cream cakes, and my now wife likes to eat healthy, so I do not to get to make to much of that.

Hot Cross Buns
I did screw up, I made the buns twice on Easter, both lots I had to toss. I got confused about the times quoted, and may have used the wrong flower. The buns where somewhat dense, did not rise enough. The recipie looked easy, and it was not.
