Pumpkin Spice Cake II

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2009
This is so good it was almost kind of silly. Wow. I made it exactly as written except I beat the batter by hand and baked it in a mini loaf pan. It made four lovely little loaves when cooked at 375 degrees for 35 minutes. I will be making this again. Thank you.

Really good recipe. The sunflower seeds didn't sound good so instead I used rough cut walnuts. Also I cooked more like 25 minutes. Thank you.

Libby's® Famous Pumpkin Pie

I made this for Thanksgiving this year using a Marie Callendar's frozen (thawed) pie crust and it was simply marvelous. I didn't change a thing and won't in the future. I did cook it just a tad bit longer. Wonderful pie, thank you.

Lisa's Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2009
This cake was good. Good enough. It came together easily, cooked up fine and with the Satiny Chocolate Glaze from this site made a nice presentation for a friend's birthday. However it wasn't earth shattering. The glaze was the best part. It worked out well but I would not be in a major rush to make it again. Thank you though.

Satiny Chocolate Glaze

This came together very well. I had a cup of mini chocolate chips so we added a little more of the other ingredients to balance out. Tasty and looked really nice on my chocolate bundt cake. I'll be using this again I'm sure. Thank you. I did cook it in the microwave and that was fine.

No-Fuss Meat Loaf

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2009
This was really, really good exactly as written. We did not deviate from how the recipe reads at all. Cooked for 1.5 hours. Pulled the whole thing out to rest and drain off the grease and then dug in. Thank you very much for this recipe. Next time I might throw in some seasonings but it is excellent just as is. Took five minutes to put together:)

Chocolate Banana Bread Pudding

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2009
This is a GREAT recipe I'm sure just as written. I could not resist the urge to change some things. But just the way it is rocks too.My changes were to use 2 eggs and the rest egg beaters, fat free half n half instead of milk, part white bread texas toast and part raisin bread, three bananas and less sugar. I also soaked the concoction for an hour, not five minutes and cooked covered for around 40 minutes and then uncovered for about 50. Good stuff indeed.

Baked Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2009
This was utterly ridiculous in how good and easy it was. Just absolutely scrumptious! Cooked for eight hours and made exactly as described. My husband was thrilled! The only difference was I added garlic as one of the spices and used a 4.5 lb chicken. Thank you for a great recipe.

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2009
Delicious. Made just as written. I probably should have cooked it a bit longer than 50 minutes though. I thought it was done but it fell apart upon trying to release from the bundt pan. We just put the big pieces of cake individual dishes and covered with whip cream and chocolate shavings. Yummy cake.

Apple Cake V

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2009
This is very good although I did make several changes. I think with my modifications the only thing I will do differently next time is add some spices. The flavor made as written is pretty plain. Really needs some cinnamon and probably some nutmeg. Great base though, thank you.

Vanilla Glaze

This was awesome. It needed much more milk. We used fat free milk and I liked the slightly thinner consistency. It was still really great flavor and consistency and dressed my bundt carrot cake up perfectly. Thank you.

I made this exactly as written except only putting half a packet of oatmeal on top. I also doubled it. Fantastic. Can't wait to make around the holidays, yum.

Best Peanut Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2009
This was quite good and we made it just as written. When I first tasted it I thought the soy sauce was too much but with the noodles it was just right. Would make a good stir fry and next time I will cook the veggies, then add noodles and then the sauce. I think adding some ginger and more garlic would really give it more definition. Thanks.

Pizza Dough I

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2009
Not sure went wrong here but this was kind of flat and flavorless. I followed the directions although I did just cook the dough by itself, no toppings. I wanted to see how it was and I wasn't impressed. I'm curious if I did something wrong because it was edible, but not tasty. Thanks though.

Sausage Crescent Rolls

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2009
We quite enjoyed this. How much easier does it get? I used store bought pizza dough and along with the sausage/cream cheese I sauteed mushrooms, onions and added some roast beef and pepper jack that was in the crisper. Cooked at 425 for about 13 minutes and it was done. The only thing I might change was it says to cool the sausage/cream cheese mixture entirely. That's goofy to me. Next time I'll just add it to the dough immediately and then bake and serve. I see no reason to let it cool. Thanks.

Zucchini Cornbread Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2009
Very good. Made as written its fab. For my taste I also added some leftover chopped pork tenderloin and mixed the cheese in along with going on top. I liked the cheesy crust on top. Next time if I use zucchini from my garden I will really, really squeeze the moisture out. It was a little on the moist side but still good. Tasted like stuffing. Yum.

Easy Chocolate Chip Cookies

These were so easy that when I first mixed them together I thought I must have goofed:) I used a Devil's Food cake mix and white chocolate chips. Really yummy and perfect if you're on a tight timeline. I will be making these again, thank you.

Gourmet Chicken Pizza

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2009
Holy cow! This was awesome! I have to say that in general I'm not really too great at making pizza but this recipe made me look very skilled. Really good flavor. I made it as written except used canned mushrooms and sauteed onions instead of the veggies stated in the recipe. We will be having this again. However my husband who actually put the pizza in the oven said DO NOT cook for 25 minutes. Far too long. About 18 minutes is perfect. Thanks!

Makeover Zucchini Apple Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2009
Giving this five stars because I suspect if I made it as written it would have been amazing. As it was even with my changes the flavor turned out great! Changes included: Substituting eggs for egg beaters, omitting the oil and grated apple, adding extra applesauce and 3 C. total on the zucchini. The texture was a little rubbery and this recipe only made two loaves for me. But I still really liked it and think this would be great toasted. I'll make it again.
