About this Cook
My husband and I have been married for 10 years. I am the proud mom of two small boys. I work part time outside home. My husband and I spend most of our together time at home in our kitchen. It's not unusual for him to literally take the spoon out of my hand to put his "2 cents" into our meals!
My favorite things to cook
I cook mostly Italian or Chinese. I'm fanatic about Italian desserts, but not really traditional sweets. I like quick and easy recipes that have that homecooked, all day preparing feeling to them. I'm also addicted to comfort foods!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandmother cooked very basic homecooked meals. My grandfather is originally from Kentucky and cooks on the southern side. I get my cooking personality from the two, Italian homecooked meals and a flare on the side for hot and spicy BBQ and sweet breads.
My cooking triumphs
My first Thanksgiving dinner. I made everything from the turkey to the cranberry salad and everything in between. I had never even cooked a small whole chicken before for just me and my husband let alone an entire turkey and all the trimmings for my entire family. It was a HUGE success!
My cooking tragedies
The first birthday cake I made for my husband after we were married. It was from a box and I messed it up so bad it was unedible. He did "try" to eat a piece, but it was terrible. And it was from a box!!!! I've come a longggg way!

Chicken Stuffed Bundles
WAY too salty! The salt overpowers the chicken and celery. I also had a problem with the bundles sticking and burning to the pan. I had no trouble with the dough. I did not find this recipe time consuming either. I actually made two seperate batches after I decided each of my sons and husband would like at least two a piece. I gave my 3 star rating only with recipe as is which I followed. Now if the salt were cut at least in half and the gravy was doubled, I think it would have potential for 4 or even 5 stars. Thank you for the recipe!

Raisin-Filled Cookies
WOW! So good! These are melt in your mouth awesome! I only made the changes I had to for lack of supplies...used regular milk and increased by 2 tbsp because I didn't have any vanilla. I used 2 cups of wheat flour and 3 cups of white flour. I used two cups of raisins also.
