This cake was DEE-LISH!! I've made it several times, and loved it each time. It's so easy to make. The first time I made it exactly as written, and it was great. My kids thought it was a bit too spicy though, so the second time I made it I did two teaspoons of cinnamon and only 1/2 teaspoon each of nutmeg and allspice. For my taste, I liked it better with the increased cinnamon and less spices, but it really was delicious made both ways.

Decent recipe. The cookie dough is bland, but the sweetness of the chocolate makes up for that. My biggest complaint was that the cookie was very crumbly after it was baked. My kids loved them, though, and didn't mind the mess at all...of course.

These cookies are tremendous!! By far the best oatmeal cookies I've ever eaten. I made them for Thanksgiving, and everybody in the family loved them, even those who aren't usually too keen on oatmeal cookies. Don't change a thing about the recipe...it's perfect the way it is. :)
