About this Cook
I am a registered nurse living outside buffalo ny. I come from an italian family so I have been cooking since I was 7.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake things, that is usually my favorite things to cook. If I am cooking it will usually be things like meatloaf, pasta, or some sort of chicken dish.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My favorite cooking traditions are anything to do with christmas eve. Every year to this day, from sun up until dinner my whole family cooks dish after dish. Now that I am older it is what has made me love the holidays. But one holiday dish we always had it Italian wedding soup, its what mean holiday to me.
My cooking triumphs
My slouvaki. I can make better slouvaki and sauce better than anyone. People always say my meatloaf is pretty good too.
My cooking tragedies
When I was sick I tried to make oatmeal cookies, and I forgot to add any spices! It tasted like cement! Another time I tried to make homeade rootbeer in my celler and something happened cause we ALL got sick!!!!

Honey Mustard Salad Dressing
This dressing is pretty good....It needs A LOT more mustard. Otherwise, it just tastes like mayo! I suggest about 1-2 T or more of mustard....I too used a mix of dijon and yellow french's mustard ( it gives it a bright yellow color). I also added more honey/sugar like other viewers suggested. It is very runny, so you dont need to use that much on a salad. I also squeezed in a hint of lemon juice. I might make this again, it needs more tweeksing but still a good dressing overall!
