I like trying new recipes - I love challenges! I personally love baking cakes, pastries (sweet or savoury), but I also like making main dishes too. Hmmm, not sure on that one... I seem to have descended from a long line of "can-opening, ready-meal-eating" ancestors! My first three-tiered chocolate gateaux, sausage plait, and various pasta dishes. An "exploding" coffee sponge that kept on rising without any form of raising agent(!!) that got stuck to the bottom of the oven as well as the shelves. Scotch pancakes that went soggy, and a fruit crumble that was made with an entire bag of salt that had been packaged wrongly at the factory as sugar!
