I grew up in Utah and moved to the Virgin Island a few years ago. I manage a Gourmet Wine and Cheese store in Red Hook, St. Thomas. I love to cook and match food with wine.

Sugar Coated Pecans
I like things spicy so I add just a touch of cayenne pepper.

Best Black Beans
I added about 1/3 cup jicama for some added crunch. It was so good.

Pumpkin Apple Streusel Muffins
This recipe makes a delicious cake. I used the whole can of pumpkin, added an additional 1/4 cup flour, used 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup white sugar and added 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon. I frosted my cake with cream cheese frosting and it was so good.
