Classic Waffles

agreed with others it needs a lil something extra but definately a good basic recipe. I added extra vanilla,sugar, and cinnamon, and nutmeg as well

Whole Wheat Beer Bread

This was not a hit in our house, I thought maybe it was because I don't like beer, but I really don't know my husband is the only one who ate it and thought it was just ok.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie

Made one for home and one for work everyone loved it I did add crushed peanut butter cups to the top for a nice added touch!!

Cream of Chicken and Potato Soup

Very good base for a soup, I did make a few changes I used Light cream instead of Heavy, Instead of water I used chicken broth, I added two extra potatoes and a bunch of different frozen veggies, I let it cook a little longer, but it was worth the wait. Both kids loved it and want me to make it again soon!!

Jacob's Coat Casserole

I did take a few suggestions from other reviewers and seasoned the meat with garlic italian seasoning and season salt, I used real mashed potatoes and added chives to them I used frozen mixed veggies as that is what we prefer. I did precook them before putting them into the casserole. My hubby and both kids(except onions:) loved it. Very rarely does everyone like the same meal!!

Butterscotch Potato Chip Cookies

These were good I will probably make them again, maybe with chocolate chips next time. All three kids loved them and were very suprised when I told them they had potato chips in them, will probably make again but maybe try with chocolate chips. Mine did thin out a little but not too bad.

Salsa Chicken Rice Casserole

Our family really liked this recipe, the only reason it didn't recieve 5 stars is we agreed its lacking something, so I will continue to make it and try new things to tweak it,maybe olives or crushed red pepper would be good

Dough Ornament Recipe

My first grade brownie troop loved this. We used a straw to make a hole for hanging. I am going to use this recipe for my 3rd grade troop on Valentines day to make magnets also.

Tartar Sauce I

If it were up to me it would have had 5 stars but my hubby prefers it made with dill. I substituted onion powder in place of minced onion to save me some time and was very good!!

Bev's Orange Chicken

this was very good but didn't taste like orange chicken, I used 2 tsp. cornstarch to thicken the sauce, other than that I left it the same, my husband said it was a little salty, but good. we will make it again most likely!

Fluffy Pancakes

We tried these and loved them. I added 2 tsp. vanilla to the mix. Next time I make them I will substitute applesauce for the shortning, and maybe some diced apples. I don't think we'll use the mix anymore!!

Scalloped Potatoes and Onions

I made a few changes to this recipe I added leftover cubed ham and freeze dried chives and I also added 1/4 cup of half and half to make it even creamier, it was delicious all three kids ate it even though two dislike meat and the other dislikes potatoes. We will be making this again for sure!

Hearty Beef Stew

I had to make a lot of changes to get this recipe right more broth, spices, had to cook longer than 6 hrs. on low cause potatoes were still slightly crunchy. With these changes it still wasn't the best i've had, sorry but i'm not impressed

Easy No Bake Cookies

delicious! have to make sure to boil mix for stated amount of time before adding oats. also added about 4 cups of oats to help mix set better. My 7 year old made these with her friend. They loved them.
