About this Cook
I am married and have three kids. I love to cook but often don't have alot of time so recipes that are quick and easy as well as kid friendly are always welcome in my home!!
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking homeade sauce for pasta but seldom due because it is so time consuming.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We always have large dinners on Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Easter grandmas green bean casserole(from this site) is always requested by my inlaws at every dinner.
My cooking triumphs
Anytime I can make something that all 5 of my family members like. considering one child doesn't like meat and one doesn't like starch and the third just doesn't like to try anything new if I can please everyones taste buds that is a triumph for me.
My cooking tragedies
Ha ha there has been a few of these but the most recent is I tried to make orange flavored rice a co-workers idea as I can not get one child to eat rice, never gonna do that again it was a complete flop!!

Cream of Chicken and Potato Soup
Very good base for a soup, I did make a few changes I used Light cream instead of Heavy, Instead of water I used chicken broth, I added two extra potatoes and a bunch of different frozen veggies, I let it cook a little longer, but it was worth the wait. Both kids loved it and want me to make it again soon!!

Jacob's Coat Casserole
I did take a few suggestions from other reviewers and seasoned the meat with garlic italian seasoning and season salt, I used real mashed potatoes and added chives to them I used frozen mixed veggies as that is what we prefer. I did precook them before putting them into the casserole. My hubby and both kids(except onions:) loved it. Very rarely does everyone like the same meal!!

Butterscotch Potato Chip Cookies
These were good I will probably make them again, maybe with chocolate chips next time. All three kids loved them and were very suprised when I told them they had potato chips in them, will probably make again but maybe try with chocolate chips. Mine did thin out a little but not too bad.
