Restaurant Style Egg Drop Soup

Wow was I ever pleasantly surprised by this recipe. I have been searching for years for a good egg drop soup recipe and this is it. I would highly recommend drizzling some sesame seed oil into it and adding some mushrooms, mixed frozen veggies and diced water chestnuts and a pinch of white pepper....yum!

Champagne Punch III

I followed this recipe exactly and loved it! It was a big hit on New Years Eve. Someone recommended using a Riesling wine to give it some sweetness. I couldn't find Riesling and used a Pinot Grigio and found it to be perfect.

Grandma's Chicken Noodle Soup

I have never used Poultry Seasoning before and I guess I am not a fan of it..or at least in soup...YUCK!

Coconut Cream Cake III

Well I left the coconut out because I am the only one that likes it and the cakes was still really good but it only took half the time to bake. I am not sure if it was because I left the coconut out or if the time on the recipe is wrong. Be careful and watch the cake when you are baking it. I will probably try it next time with the coconut.

Neapolitan Cookies I

Gosh these are good! Instead of layering them like the recipe calls for I placed the three different dough flavors in the bread pan side by side, so it resembled a neapolitan ice cream pattern more, plus it divided up the flavor. Really good!

Dill Pickles

These pickles are great! It was really hard for me to wait the full two months to try them but I did and it was well worth the wait. I added some alum to the ice bath and then rinsed the pickles well before placing them in jars. I was really pleased with how crunchy the pickles turned out. I also placed the jarred pickles in a hot water bath for 10 minutes to seal the jars and it worked well.

Carrot Dill Soup

Easy to make, at first I would have given this a three, kinda blan...but then I added some chicken boulion and pepper and dried dill weed and I liked it a lot more and give it four stars.
