I'd say comfort foods are probably my favorite things, as they are the one's that everyone enjoys the most. However, I make a terrific roast turkey and broccoli, mushroom, wild rice stuffing. Then there's my lasagne....ok, so I just LIKE to cook! The only family tradition I know of in our little family is my Grandpa teaching me to pour Coca-Cola on my Thanksgiving turkey. It ALWAYS turns out wonderful! Whenever I tell others how to make my turkey, they look at me strangely when I tell them Coca-Cola is the trick. But then they try it and find out it's really amazing! I was having my then future husband up for dinner for the first time. I'd planned to make my lasagne, and was sauteing the onions and garlic. Suddenly there was fire all around my pan as the burner had overheated and burned a hole THROUGH the bottom of the pan. My husband and I laugh about it now days, but then I was just mortified!
