About this Cook
I'm a married mother of 2. My oldest son is 9 and my youngest son is just 15 months. Dinner is like feeding time at the zoo at my house. Trying to keep things healthy, fresh and interesting is sometimes tough. I really get sick of doing the same thing over and over. So im always up for anything new. I love Allrecipes.com, the reviews help me choose the best recipes for my family without having to test on them.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook or try just about anything. Although my favorite dishes that always seem to please are lasagna, turkey, and cream puffs.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I am an Italian born in the US raised in Campobasso, Molise, Italy and I am married to an Egyptian so the food we cook in our home is very diverse to say the least.
My cooking triumphs
Since we are Muslim, the biggest time for us to cook is during the month of Ramadan. We usually have really big dinner parties. Thank God they always come out well.
My cooking tragedies
I was making a nice Italian sauce and when i went to add some dried basil...the top fell into the pot along with most of the dried basil. I happened to have company that day...so i was going crazy scooping out as much basil as i could...lol. it turned out alright.

Satiny Chocolate Glaze
it was really easy to make. the only thing is it came out a bit too sweet. but i think its the chocolate that i used. either way...this is a recipe keeper cause of how easy it was to make. i made a bundt cake that kind of ruined when i took it out of the mold. the chocolate sauce along with powdered sugar totally saved the day. you couldn't even tell there was anything wrong with the cake! thanks

Chocolate Pound Cake III
I thought the cake was great. It was moist and chocolaty. The only problem was that it got stuck in the mold. but that was probably my fault. i over filled it...and cooked it too long....at a really low temp. even though i greased and floured the tin first. i did add a dusting of powdered sugar as well as chocolate sauce. the chocolate sauce made it too sweet. but everything that went wrong was really my fault and no fault of the recipe itself...and that is why im giving it 5 stars. thanks a bunch!
