This is just too easy to be so good! I made it as stated and it will be a recipe that I make often. Thanks!

Classic Texas Caviar

Reviewed: May 22, 2011
Love this! I make this quite often and the only modification that I make is leaving out the jalapeno peppers and the bell pepper. Sometimes I use Italian dressing instead of the olive oil/red wine vinegar. Even my picky kids like this. I serve with corn chip scoops.

Passion Bars

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2011
These were just alright. I made them as written and although I like peanut butter, it just didn't work well for me in this recipe. Maybe more of a carmel layer as opposed to a peanut butter flavored layer would have been better.

Cinnamon Rolls III

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2011
These rolls are to die for! This was my first time making cinnamon rolls and they were super easy to do with my bread machine. I used dental floss to cut the rolls which is way easier than trying to slice, so I highly recommend that. I added the pudding mix as written. I found these were sweet enough without needing to ice them, but did make the cream cheese frosting for my girls. Thanks for the recipe!

Shrimp Scampi Bake

My whole family liked this shrimp. It is extremely simple to make, but tastes like it took longer. I made extra sauce and put it over pasta, topped with grated parmesan and it was wonderful. Thanks for sharing this recipe!

Lemon Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2011
I can only review the cake portion of this, not the frosting. The "doctored" cake mix recipe was great! This has got to be the most moist cake that I have ever made. It was delicious and I will use this recipe for different flavored cakes in the future. I used a lemon buttercream recipe for the frosting instead of the pudding/whipped topping. Next time I will try that instead, but really like this cake with the buttercream.

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2010
This is the BEST oatmeal cookie recipe! In the past, I have attempted to make oatmeal cookies and they always turned out dry. These cookies stayed moist and chewy for several days in a resealable plastic bag. I wouldn't change a thing.

Crunch Bar

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2010
This is one of my favorite things to make. Adults and kids love it and it is soooo easy to make. A definite go-to recipe when you need something quick. I have used saltines, Club and graham crackers. I can't say that I noticed much difference between the saltines and Club crackers. The graham crackers are good, but I like the saltiness of the others. I usually don't use pecans or nuts on top. They are just as good without it. I use dark chocolate chips and keep them refrigerated or else the chocolate is messy to handle. Love, love these!!!

Love these! The only alteration that I made was rolling some in colored sugar to make sugar cookies. Easy, easy! Great taste and they were chewy in the middle and crisp on the outside.

Cajun Seafood Pasta

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2010
I really enjoyed this as did my kids. The only change that I made was using a blend of mozzarella/parmesan cheese. I think this sauce would be great on any type of meat and would like to try it on fish. Thanks for the keeper!

Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2009
This is a very tasty soup and so simple to make. I made this recipe as written except that I used half and half instead of heavy cream. My kids loved it, so that speaks volumes. This will be a staple recipe in my house! Thanks for a great recipe.

Iced Pumpkin Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2009
I can't tell you how good these are! I made this recipe as written except I only put in 1/2 tsp ground cloves and that was perfect. Any more than that and it would have been overpowering. Everyone that tried these loved them including my picky kids. I made the glaze that is on the "Pumpkin Cookies V" recipe that has brown sugar in it and OMG it is the best! I turned the cookies upside down and dipped the tops in the glaze. These cookies are so soft and moist and they didn't dry out even after being in a sealed container for 3 days. I now have 3 people asking for the recipe just from the first batch. These are now one of my favorite cookies.

Chocolate Candy Bar Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2009
I made this cake for the girls at work and it was a big hit. I used Butterfinger candy bars instead of chocolate bars which was so good! I made a 2 layer cake and kept it refrigerated and it's definitely a cake that needs to stay cold. Next time, I will try a dark fudge cake mix because devil's food cake is not rich enough for me. Thanks for the recipe. Can't wait to make it with other candy bars!

Anna's Amazing Easy Pleasy Meatballs over Buttered Noodles

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2009
I have to give this 2 stars as written. I like french onion soup, but this overpowered the sauce. I pitched it and started over with cream of mushroom soup and beef broth which tasted much better. I added about half a packet of lipton onion soup. My picky kids loved it and ate the leftovers the next day after school. I will only make again without the french onion soup.

Superior Shores Slaw

Surprisingly, I really enjoyed this. It is so simple to make and the bacon is a great addition. I did not have celery seed so I added a little celery salt which cut the sweet somewhat. I will make this again.

Country Apple Dumplings

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2009
I LOVE this recipe! It turned out awesome. I followed the recipe as written for the most part. I continued to cook the butter/sugar/cinnamon mixture on the stove until the sugar was melted. As written, is seemed as though you just melted the butter and then added the sugar and cinnamon. Nothing was stated about making sure the sugar was completely melted, but I went ahead and cooked it on top of the stove for about 3 minutes. I probably used only 4 ounces of Mountain Dew since I was halving the recipe and wanted to make sure they didn't turn out too soupy. I also just poured the Mountain Dew around the dumplings, not directly on top of them. The sugar and cinnamon mixture stayed on top of the dumplings and mixed with the Mountain Dew on the bottom of the baking dish to make a wonderful, thick sauce that was awesome! I served them warm and spooned some of the sauce on top of each. I absolutely love how simple and delicious this recipe is and you could easily do peaches or berries for a change if you like. It reminded me of a cobbler without the doughy-ness. It is now my new favorite recipe!

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2009
I am so disappointed in this recipe. After all of the reviews, I had high hopes. I didn't even bake half of the dough before pitching it. I have tried several different chocolate chip recipes and this was the worst I have ever made. They are very artificial tasting which has to be due to the pudding. They flattened out very little while baking so I flattened the dough before putting them into the oven. They were just bland to me and artificial tasting. My kids didn't even want to try them. I will stick to a recipe without pudding mix in the future.

Caramel Popcorn

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2009
I really like this but it came out on the grainy side. I'm not sure why, but I have made this several times with margarine and have not had that happen. It still tastes good, but would prefer it smooth. Also, with butter, you get a more toffe flavor and with margarine you get a true caramel flavor. I always cook caramel corn in a large, disposable roasting pan to make it easier to stir without having pieces spill out. Very good either way!

My Amish Friend's Caramel Corn

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2009
This is a fool proof recipe and we loved it! I made it just as stated and baked the caramel corn in a disposable large roasting pan. This was served during the Super Bowl and everyone RAVED about it. We couldn't stop eating it. This is a definite keeper and it was truly easy to make.
