Cornbread II

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2009
This was pretty good cornbread. I increased the sugar to 1/4 cup and followed Evianposh's suggestion of using a cast iron skillet. I also added a drained can of corn to it. I think I like this better than my usual cornbread, so I'm switching!

Corn Yeast Rolls

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2009
I had to add another 1/2 cup of water and only baked them for 15 minutes, but I got 12 lovely baseball sized rolls out of this recipe...I would definetly recommend it.

Pseudo Sourdough for the Bread Machine

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2009
I don't know that I would call this much of a sourdough, but it is one of the finest loaves of white bread ever to come out of my bread machine. This is going to be my go-to recipe when I want a loaf of white bread for sandwiches or french toast.

Steakhouse Wheat Bread for the Bread Machine

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2009
I enjoyed this recipe. I used the whole wheat setting on my bread machine and increased the yeast to 2 teaspoons of active dry yeast because I did not have bread machine yeast. When it was kneading, I added a handful more of bread flour, because it did seem a little moist, but it turned out great. I used the setting for a 1 pound loaf.

Thai Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2008
this was really good, I took the advice of others and cut the soy sauce down to 1/3 cup and then filled the cup with water to make 1 cup, I think it could even do with using 1/4 cup soy. I also used sriracha chili sauce. this was extremely tasty using those adjustments

Butterscotch Oatmeal Cookies II

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2008
To see the dough for these cookies, you would never believe that they would bake up to hold together at all...but they DO! Pretty tasty, light cookie too.

No Roll Pie Crust I

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2008
For such a simple recipe this was amazingly good. I especially liked that it did not shrink when baked. It was pretty flaky and tender. Certainly worth it when you want pie, but don't want to spend a ton of time on the crust.

G's Flank Steak Marinade

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2008
very good, I let it marinate for 2 days and it was fantastic. Really cheap cut of meat too, but it turned out tender.

Cindy's Tasty Wings

these were wonderful! I ended up baking them at 325 for 3 hours, and I mixed the sauce ingredients together and poured them over. Flavors were excellent. We all loved them at our superbowl party.

Crispy Gingersnaps

yummers! These were great. Nice and crisp with plenty of ginger flavor. My only complaint is that they only made 3 dozen. I'll be doubling this next time.

Bread and Butter Pickles II

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2007
Very good pickles. I would definitely rinse the cucumbers well after sitting in the salt, as they were awfully salty. I also processed them for 10 minutes in a hot water canner so I could keep them in the pantry.

This was awful...way too much baking powder made it really medicinal and bitter.

Slow Cooker Pineapple Pork Roast

This had good flavor, but I took the advice of other reviewers and added some soy sauce and some chili sauce to the sauce. We had it over rice.

Greek Pasta Salad III

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2005
I really enjoyed this. I had a family member over for dinner who didn't like mushrooms, so I left them out and used diced cucumber instead. I also chopped kalamata olives. I tried cutting back on the oil, because it looked like a lot, but I would use the full amount next time I make it. It might also benefit from using a little lemon juice in place of some of the vinegar, but all around really good as is. Thanks Kelly.

Thai Beef Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2005
This has really excellent flavor. I used leftover steak, lemongrass powder in place of the lemongrass, and thai basil (from a recent trip to the asian food market) in place of the mint and cilantro. Next time I will add some thinly sliced serrano chile rings. Thanks for the recipe!

I enjoyed this very much, but I thought it needed salt. I will make it again, but use less oil, more blue cheese, and more salt.

Strawberry Pretzel Salad

Pretty excellent. Instead of whipped topping, I whipped 1 cup of heavy cream with a tiny bit of sugar and vanilla. I also used fresh strawberries. This was wonderful. I loved the pretzel crust!

Strawberry Spinach Salad I

This was wonderful. I made it with sliced honey roasted almonds and blue cheese, and left out the strawberries (it just sounded too odd to me, perhaps I will try it one day) but the dressing was outstanding. Thanks for the recipe!

Heaven! I'm in Heaven! This recipe is wonderful. I have been drooling over a dessert at one of my favorite thai restaurants of sticky rice with coconut ice cream. I was able to recreate it at home with this great recipe. Thanks SUEMB!

Maple-Garlic Marinated Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: May 14, 2005
I wasn't that impressed with this. I think it would have been better with soy sauce in the marinade. It was mostly just sweet and cloying. I was wanting a salty flavor to balance that.
