I am a working mom. My photo is a picture of my now 7 year old son. is my little "Bug" and very dear to my heart. My husband and I are fixing to close on our first house and it has been a long road to make our dreams come true. my favorite things to cook are by far desserts. I havent made a dessert yet that didnt taste wonderful. I love baking pies. I look forward to thanksgiving every year. I have become the matriarch of our family of friends. And almost every year we host thanksgiving and then a christmas party at our house. baking powder biscuits. i made these when i was 6 months pregnant. my husband and our roommate at the time both thought they tasted funny. i thought they just needed honey. when my husband asked what kind of biscuits they were, i told him "baking powder biscuits." he said... "honey we dont have any baking powder." i told him "yes we do... its in the orange box." needless to say when he took a large swig off his Dr.Pepper he started foaming at the mouth. I now pay very close attention to baking powder and baking soda.
