About this Cook
I have 3 children ages 13 and 10 year old twins.
My favorite things to cook
I just learned how to make Gnocchi from scratch, it's not hard but Im pretty proud of that. I love cooking dishes in the slow cooker, I will convert oven recipes to work in the cooker. I do everything from breakfast, supper, and desert in there. I also love marinades and cooking on the grill.
My favorite family cooking traditions
For the holidays especially Christmas Eve and New Years Eve we like to fix all of our favourite hors devours in place of a regular meal. You can make most things ahead of time so when family is there, you aren't spending so much time with prep.
My cooking triumphs
Bechemel sauce. My mom had taught me how to make it years ago and I have been lucky enough to have never screwed it up.
My cooking tragedies
Thankfully I havent really had one yet. I did make a biscotti recipe from this site and it came out rock hard. On the flip side it turned out the same for others who have made biscotti before.

Southwest Chicken
This was EXCELLENT!! I used 2 14oz cans of the local brand diced tomatoes with chilis and added some extra corn (I used frozen) I had used chicken cutlets in this recipe as well since thats what I had. Once served I squeezed fresh lime onto our servings and we added our own hot sauce and jalapenos as we liked. We ate up the extra "salsa" with blue chips.

Avocado Mango Salsa
This was very good. I used jalapeno peppers minced as I did not have habanero. I used the salsa on salmon burgers I had made for supper. Will definately be making this again.
