About this Cook
I'm a 26 year old Army wife living in Wiesbaden Germany with my husband and 4 year old son. My husband is a meat and potatos man and I prefer salads and fish as well as pasta dishes and Japanese and Indian cuisine.
My favorite things to cook
I suppose meat loaf because my husband just loves it. I enjoy baking as well.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Strawberry bread is something my grandmother has made for our family for years and I recently started making it for my family.
My cooking triumphs
Last years Thanksgiving dinner! It was the first I prepared on my own.
My cooking tragedies
None as of yet. Although some mediocre results have come out of my kitchen.

Darra's Famous Tuna Waldorf Salad Sandwich Filling
I love this recipe! The only change I made was toasted almonds in place of the walnuts. The croissant and cheese make it even better. Awesome for luncheons and I also make the recipe with chicken or turkey. Very, very good!

Banana Caramel Fluff
I would give this recipe a 5 star rating but my husband says 4. He feels that the dough should be a little sweeter so next time I will be adding some cinnimon and sugar to the top of his. We also added chocolate sauce and a bit of whipped cream to the top. It was delicious! Thank you for the recipe!

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies
I made this recipe twice. The first time I followed the directions to a t and they were very good although the amount of chips made it difficult to blend. The second time I halfed the amount of chips, used one vanilla and one banana pudding, and also added a tablespoon coffee liquer. They were fabulous!! This is a great base recipe to go wild with!
