It turned out beautiful but was just ok in taste. It was an unusual cake and I may make it just for presentation at a holiday..but taste was just ok. Edit: It was better after a few days.

Used real crab and it was great. Got a ton of compliments. Next time I will use a little less cream cheese so i can better taste the crab. Left over cream cheese mix was good on bagels the next morning. Edit: I have now made this several times. I now double the crabmeat. Also..they are great after frozen. I make a batch..freeze them and just pull a few out and bake. Great served with sweet chili sauce!

I used rasberry preserves..this was great..I made a ton of apps and this one was completely gone. Everyone raved about it. Served with fruit..cut up apples, strawberrys..etc. Edit: Next time I made it I did cut the brie in half to add the preserves..the brie melted all out of the pastry. I went back to adding preserved to top and bottom..this works best.
