I made this for Christmas this year and it was great!! I added 1/2 a cup of shredded cheddar and 1/2 cup mozzarella AND in half the batch, I added 2 teaspoons of horseradish - for that little extra zing! I'd make this again in an instant. My family all raved about it.

Last year I made these candies and the carmel leaked out so this year (today) I used Riesin candies but I cut them in half - it used less dough and they came out yummy. I also didn't use the nut mixture but I will next year. I also found that these needed longer baking time - between 10 - 15 minutes. I've made 9 different cookies so far for Christmas and this one is my favorite !!
