Swamp Thang, Bay-Bey!!
About this Cook
Well, I'm from Baton Rouge, LA.........go Southern Jags, LSU Tigers and New Orleans Saints, Bay-Bey!!! I'm 28, an Aries ALL DAY and I love The Lord, My Family, food & music. Own my own music business with my Lil' Brother/roommate in Tallahassee, FL and you'll be hearing about it soon. Outside of music, I LOVE COOKING and EATING!!! I have a lot of other interests too but this is a cooking website, ya know. I've made alot of recipes from here and I must say this site is EXCELLENT!! Shout out to all the phenomenal cooks and chefs out there. Holla at me y'all and maybe we can get some jambalaya, red beans and rice or gumbo hooked up for ya. Laissez les bon temps roulez (Let the good times roll)!!!
My favorite things to cook
Anything that tastes good...............seriously!!!
My favorite family cooking traditions
The holidays, of course. All the gumbo and etouffee....Turducken....you ain't had real Southern cooking 'till you come down to the Bayou, Bay-bey. My Grandmother, Mom and Dad are definitely the ones who influenced me.
My cooking triumphs
Everytime I use a recipe for the first time and it comes out tasting like somebody's Momma did it!!!! LOL, LOL!!!
My cooking tragedies
Burnt toast. That's probably bout it. Don't play when it comes to the kitchen, Man. Had some dishes that didn't taste the way I wanted them to but everyone else thought they were fantastic. Guess we're our own harshest critic, ha?

Hudson's Baked Tilapia with Dill Sauce
WOW...........THAT'S ALL I CAN SAY!!! I fixed this without the lemon cause I'm not a big fan of "citrusy" foods. I did add heavy cream to the mayo/sour cream sauce and doubled it as well. It makes NO SENSE HOW GOOD THIS WAS!!!!!!!!!! Made this with the "Mushroom Orzo" dish on here. Spreaded the sauce all over the pasta and toasted some sliced bread with butter in the oven to dip in the sauce. Can't go wrong with this one, ya heard meh!!!

Mushroom Orzo
great side dish!!! I added more pearl onions cause I love onions. I took the advice of the "most helpful" review and soaked the mushrooms in hot water. I thought that would overcook the shrooms but surprisingly it didn't. Man, this tasted excellent!!! I ate this with Hudson's Baked Tilapia with Dill Sauce on this site. Off da chain combination!!! STRAIGHT UP!!!

Asparagus Quiche
Excellent way to prepare asparagus!!! Couldn't find the steamer basket so I boiled the cut up pieces for about 6 minutes. The grocery store didn't have the shredded swiss that I like so I used the sliced kind and it still came out great. Next time I'll try a four or six cheese Italian blend just to see what that'll taste like.
