About this Cook
I didn't learn to cook from my mother so when I first got married I was clueless on domestic matters, now 4 years later I feel pretty confident in the kitchen. Both my husband and I work so meals during the week are simple fare that can be prepared in 30 minutes or less. Weekend I get a bit more daring. I'm always looking for shortcut recipes that are big on taste.
My favorite things to cook
One of my favorite things to cook is Slow-Cooked Barbequed Pork Sandwiches with colesalw served on top. My family likes this meal and I like it's simple prep.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My husband and I make Tamales at Christmas. It's a tradition I would like to pass onto our children some day.
My cooking triumphs
Dulce De Leche Cheesecake is my showstopping signature dessert that I serve to guests with a special pride and joy.
My cooking tragedies
Too many tragedies to mention. My kitchen maxim is to try anything once, who knows? You might just be a better cook then you think you are!

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce
I followed the directions exactly and it turned out great. It truly was quick and easy not to mention elegant. My husband and kids gobbled this up! This would make an excellent dinner party entree. Rich, smooth and creamy a wonderful addition to any cook's recipe box.

Angie's Special
A great mix of flavors, Once the whiskey ran out, I used some leftover vodka and the shots went down even smoother! Great shots for a party!

Chicken Scampi II
This was the BEST! I used chicken thighs so it took a little longer to cook. A delicious seasoning blend! I used garlic butter in place of the regular butter just to give it more of a garlicky taste. I even made shrimp scampi the next night using this recipe! I can't rave about it enough! It's just terrific!Try it you'll see.....
