I have not been on much lately.  I pop in and out sometimes.  The Dr is still trying to find the right "cocktail" of meds for my ADD/Bipolar.  (He said yesterday it may be Treatment Resistance Depression; TRD - if you add a "u" in there, I think thats what it should be called!… MORE

I'm a Southen Girl, born and raised in GA. I've been married to the same man for 40 years. We met when I was 15, eloped when I was 16 and had a baby when I was 17. Despite the fact that we were teenagers when we married we beat the odds and stayed married. We have 2 other children and 6 grandchildren.

Strawberry Cobbler I
I forgot to take a picture but basically it looked just like a few on here. I did not change anything except used 1/4 t. salt instead of 1/2. This was not my kind of cobbler. My aunt used to make a strawberry cobbler that was awesome. This was not it while OK I found the strawberries much too tart, not enough liquid for our liking and the biscuit like topping somewhat hard. It all comes down to preferences. I'll keep looking.

Old Fashioned Pineapple Upside-Down Cake
I read a lot of Pineapple Upside Down Cake recipes before I settled on this one. I had made one similar years before with a recipe from a Southern living magazine. I made this exactly as written (I think you should to rate it properly.) except I did not add the last T. of butter...did not have anymore. Anyway, I'm not sure what I expected but this was not it. Beating the egg whites then folding in the yellows and flour mixture made a strange looking batter, to me. When I checked it at 30 min.s the batter was still very liquidy, turned oven up to 350 and cooked 5 more min.s. It was done. Tasted ok warm from the oven...not so good later. Wasn't a big hit at my house. May just us a recipe with a mix next time. I love pineapple and still want to make a good one.

Butter Pound Cake
I've been looking for a pound cake recipe just like this for a while now. I got to where I did not like my old one anymore but this, now this is a keeper. Even 5 days later still great maybe better. Thanks, Diana Moore for the recipe!
