Buttercream Icing

I get a little tickled reading the reviews that find this icing "too sweet". Isn't icing supposed to be sweet? ;) Anyway, my family loved this icing. I followed the recipe as stated, and it turned out very similar to bakery icing. The texture and taste was terrific. Kudos for a great recipe!

World's Best Lasagna

Mmm!! Delish!! Made this recipe as is and it's a keeper for sure. Definitely soak the noodles in water. It's easier and the noodles do not stick together!!

Gravy Baked Pork Chops

Quite delicious!! I sauteed 1/4 onion with 1 t. minced garlic in butter. Then I browned the chops in that. I also changed the gravy to 1 can cream of mushroom soup, 1 can golden mushroom soup, & 3/4 cup milk. I added the onion & garlic to the gravy. It was great!!

Chicken Cordon Bleu I

Oh, YUM! This was excellent! The kids were not too sure at first, but one bite and they loved it! I dipped the chicken in egg and Italian breadcrumbs first, rolled them with the Swiss & ham, sprinkled a little garlic powder on them, and then drizzled some margarine over the top. So, so good!!!!

Rolled Buttercream Fondant

Used this on a plain iced storebought cake. Was beautiful, taste was definately better than regular fondant. Mine seemed to appears shiny, like a greasy look almost. Maybe I should have added more powdered sugar?? Still great though and would use again.

Sugar Cookie Cutouts

Great recipe... very easy. I rolled them out on parchment paper, removed the excess and baked on the paper on cookie sheets. Much much easier than moving them to a cookie sheet and risking messing up the shapes. FYI, the parchment paper can be used several times! Thanks for a great recipe!

Poke Cake II

I have been looking for this recipe for years. My grandmother used to make it for us kids at Christmas. While I still love it, I cannot say that everyone else in my family loved it as much. Will still give it 5 stars though!

Alysia's Basic Meat Lasagna

This is one of the closest recipes to my Italian grandmother's. YUMMY!!!! I double the recipe and put in two foil pans and freeze one. I do use my grandmother's sauce recipe instead. I also just purchase sliced provolone and lay it on top of the mozerella. Even my 6 yr old who hates pasta LOVES this!! Excellent recipe!

Cream Filled Cupcakes

These are delicious! I used a yellow cupcake, piped though the top as others suggested and used a chocolate buttercream to ice. YUMMY!!!
