About this Cook
Hi there - love to cook to get the stress out of my life.
My favorite things to cook
Appetizers, Lunch, Supper, Big Crowd foods - baking is fun too, but I've never quite gotten down the technique of pie crust.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mother taught me to use salt and pepper - thats it! My mother in law taught me to use salt, pepper, onion power, oregano, garlic, etc.!! So I try everything new and if it goes that night, then its a keeper!
My cooking triumphs
Baking isn't my strong suit, although I did bake my own wedding cake with a carrot cake recipe off of this site as well as a frosting recipe off of this site!
My cooking tragedies
Not too many - if I get the recipes from this site, I usually know I'm good to go!! Thanks everyone!

Best Cream Of Broccoli Soup
Very tasty recipe! Minor changes based on other's input: added 2 stalks of celery; used fat free half-n-half (eliminates lots of fat); added a handful of bacon bits; chopped with potato masher. Instead of chicken broth, I used 3 cups of water and 4 tsp of bullion (cheaper). Definately a keeper!

Italian Bread Using a Bread Machine
This recipe is great! Seeing that I'm cooking for 2, I cut the dough into thirds. After shaping into loaves, I wrapped two in plastic wrap and frooze them and cooked one for dinner to have with the meatballs I cooked earlier. Enjoy!

Honey Mustard Dressing II
I'm on Weight Watchers and wanted a good honey mustard dressing. This recipe tastes great when made with lite mayo. I wasn't sure what kind of mustard to use, so I used yellow and it came out wonderful - thanks!
