Easy French Dip Sandwiches

I added onions & green peppers sauteed in real butter with the cheese on top of the meat. Very good & easy to make.

Best-Ever Meatloaf

Salami Lover's Italian Pasta Salad

Would have rated this a 5, but putting it at a 4 because it is a very expensive salad to make. Salami $7 a roll, 1 red pepper $3, freshly grated parmesan, $1.50. Total it ended up costing at least $15-$17 just for one salad!! I did use real mayo, not salad dressing because that's what we like. It tasted very good, but at the price of making it, probably won't be making again for a while.

Aaron's Missouri Burger

Had 1 1/2#'s of burger, so I used that whole amount. Added entire amount of spices. Didn't have any Honey Mustard, so used plain yellow mustard. Did not fall apart for me. Had a bite to them, very good! Nice change of pace from plain burgers.

Beth's Chocolate Chip Cookies

I only use real butter when baking, so didn't use 1/2 shortening, only butter. I thought 1 tbls of vanilla sounded like a lot, but put in all anyway & was not dissappointed. I did add 1/4 tsp of cinnamon as mbb suggested. It really did add an extra something to the cookies. I also put in the optional pecans. This is the best chocolate chip cookie recipe I have ever made!!

Frosted Maple Cookies

Don't know what happened, but my cookies didn't come out looking smooth & rounded like the picture accompanying the recipe. When I dropped them by the spoonful, they came out "jagged". Next time, I think after cooling in the frig, I would roll them into balls like ginger cookies. They also are very sweet. I did not have a problem with the frosting hardening up, it stayed very spreadable. Overall, pretty good.

Deviled Eggs II

I did double the vinegar, mayo, & mustard. I also added about 1 tbls of minced onion & 1/4 tsp. of celery seeds. Skipped the lettuce since just for decortion & would be wasted anyway. Very good.

Dump Cake III

I didn't have any apple pie filling, so subbed peach pie filling instead. Cake is very moist & very good! I used the Cream Cheese Frosting II recipe from this site. Thought the recipe for frosting from this recipe looked like it would turn out way too sweet. Took to work & had nothing but rave reviews.

Cream Cheese Frosting II

This recipe was a little runny as others have said. I believe that is because it doesn't call for as much powdered sugar as some other recipes. That is a minor payoff for a much less "too sweet" frosting. I liked that you tasted more of the cream cheese. Very good!!

Empty Wallet Casserole

I didn't use the mushrooms since my husband doesn't like. Also didn't cook the onions before baking. The poultry seasoning was a bit much & too overpowering. The paprika I would have left off also. Not bad, but not a definite keeper.

Ground Beef 'n' Biscuits

Tasty & easy to make. I chopped up a couple of cloves of garlic, & increased burger to 2 pounds. Because of other suggestions, I also increased cooking time to 30 minutes.

Dutch Honey Syrup

My mom passed away when I was 12, & I am now 43. Thought I would never find the recipe for this, but here it is!!!! The only difference that would have made it better, was she made it with fresh cows cream, not store boughten whipping cream, but no way to duplicate that Still extremely good & I'm sure the closest I'll ever get to her recipe. You've made my day, Thanks!!!

Cheesy Meatloaf

I used all ground beef, added 1/2 tsp Italian Seasoning & 1/2 tsp Garlic powder. Did just mix in all of the cheese into the meat mixture. Turned up the oven to 375 degrees. Baked exactly one hour. Came out perfect. My husband had 2nds, & he's a picky eater. Thanks for the recipe.

Mom's Easy Creamed Chipped Beef on Toast

I minced a small amount of onion, melted butter in pan, & cooked the onion a little to soften. I then put rest of ingredients in, and also added a little garlic powder, but did leave out the salt. It can always be added later to taste. Very good comfort food!
