Easy Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2009
My family likes this. I changed a few things a bit when I made it. I first put 1/2 cup water in the bottom of the crockpot. Then added 4 large chicken breasts, whole. I added the soups on top of the chicken. I turned the crockpot on to high for 6 hours. Then I cooked 1 cup brown rice on the stove 9according to the pckg directions) and when that was done I added the whole thing to the crockpot on top of the soups. About an hour before it was done I stirred it up a bit and it was all creamy and smooth. My family loved it and the rice was perfect and not hard.

Southern Apricot Chicken

I do serve this with rice Pilaf whenever I cook it. Now the portion sizes are based on the regular food guide to what we should be eating but of course I always double the recipe because we love this so much that we eat bigger portions than the norm. I don't always like to have left overs as I do not like how it tastes microwaved but my husband thinks it's great as leftovers.

Kentucky Butter Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2004
O my Goodness!! I would not change a thing! This was so yummy. Like a really great, buttery pound cake. It was good hot, right after the hot butter sauce was poured on and even lastd a few days in our house covered on a cake plate with a glass lid and was juts as good from first bite to last. I will be making this cake all the time! (well it is high in claories so maybe not all the time as it is so good I just have to eat it, but, a lot!:) )
