Amazingly Good Eggnog
Excellent! I have made 4 gallons (yes gallons!) this year for different events and it came out great! This recipe is very forgiving. You can adjust the sweetness as you need to. I also omitted the alcohol as we are serving to kids :) If you have a high power blender (like a Vitamix) you can put it in there (if it gets a little clumpy) and blend it together. I do it every time, I don't strain it, I just put it in my Vitamix to whip it all together and it comes out smooth and great! Another thing I do is to substitute the milk for some heavy cream or half and half or if you want a lighter nog then use skim milk. I have used this recipe for the last three years and will always use it! I quit buying eggnog!

Beezie's Black Bean Soup
End result was excellent! Now as for the beans. I followed the directions exactly. It took *WAY* longer than three hours for the beans to soften. I would double the time it takes for the beans. I also took about an hour for the rice to fully soften as well.
