About this Cook
I am a full time mom and Self taught Artist. Working at home gives me time to cook great meals for me and my family. In the winter I love to cook meals that take all day either roasting in a slow cooker or simmering sauce for some pasta later in the evening. Baking cookies and cakes for the holidays is a tradition in my family. Spring and summer its marinade time BBQ almost everyday we love to eat outside. Juicy steaks, chicken and burgers cold pasta and potato salads. Homemade salad dressings. FRESH FRESH FRESH!!! I love to cook and love to try new recipes..if the recipe does not work then tweek the recipe until it does :)
My favorite things to cook
Slow cooked roasts...casseroles...kid friendly food...asian..italian..traditional american.
My favorite family cooking traditions
cooking traditional american food with Italian foods around the holidays. Making cookies and cakes with my family. So much fun!
My cooking tragedies
once when I was in high school I donated my time to make cookies for a dance. Instead of the dough rising the cookies melted in the oven it was horrible at the time but looking back I tell everyone about it and laugh now!

Shortbread Cookies II
Awesome.. super fast recipe. The perfect cookie for dipping chocolate. You can either keep the recipe as is or add a little more sugar for a sweeter cookie. Great recipe!

Cauliflower and Broccoli Bake
Great Side dish! I cut the milk down a bit on this recipe. After the initial cooking period I added the cheese to the top and broiled untill bubbly and brown. Will make again.
