I used 1 tsp lemon juice instead of the cream of tartar since I didn't have it. I followed everything else exactly. My dough seemed a little crumbly, but that may have been due to the butter (I had to thaw it by letting it sit out and it was still quite firm). The cookies turned out great and were soooo delicious! These are definately worth a try! My 4 yr old daughter helped me bake these for her class. We rolled them in different colored sugars. They looked great and tasted great. This was so good and tender. Thanks BarbaraC28 for this recipe!! I think you can add any extra seasonings that you like. I did cook it at 15 min/lb. The taste was delicious!
