Buttery Soft Pretzels

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2008
These were great! They really do smell and taste like pretzels from a certain mall store. I spritzed a little Smart Balance butter-y spray on them after they'd been in the oven for about 7 minutes, which gave them a little extra flavor. This is a recipe I'll definitely make again--I'm sure it won't be long before my husband asks for another batch.

Walter's Chicken and Mac

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2008
Not bad! I added a little (1 ts) garlic powder to this and breadcrumbs on top to give it a little more flavor. This was easy and tasty, but next time I'd add a little more garlic and cheese--perhaps adding a different type to mix things up a little.

Apricot Glazed Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2007
This reminded me of a lighter Sweet & Sour chicken with its tangy yet sweet flavor. Based on the reviews that criticized its "too sweet" flavor, I only used 1/2 cup of apricot preserves and found that it was just sweet enough. I could see using raspberry preserves with this or orange marmalade for a twist. I served this with rice and it was a hit! My husband will probably request this one again in the near future.

Oven Fried Chicken

Add a dash of Old Bay to give it a little extra zing, and you may have to melt 1.5 Tbs of butter to coat the chicken completely.

Easy Lasagna II

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2007
Good lasagna! My husband, a very picky eater, commented that this is the best lasagna he's ever had. "It's not too ricotta-y," he said. This is easy (for lasagna, which is always messy for me) and very tasty. I may add a little garlic next time. I also substituted non-fat ricotta cheese for the cottage cheese, and it was still very tasty.

Italian Bread Using a Bread Machine

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2007
Great bread! I also made the dough with my stand mixer and dough hook attachment and let the dough rise for about an hour near my oven. This bread is much better than the Italian bread I've bought in the stores! Its texture is perfect--soft with a chewy crust. I'll definitely make this one again.

Tasty Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2007
Good basic stir-fry recipe. I'd add a little extra garlic next time and maybe a few red peppers to give it a little more zing, but this was tasty and even my pepper-hating fiance liked it.

Best Bread Machine Bread

Reviewed: May 6, 2007
This is a good recipe! I used corn oil and 1 ts of rapid rise bread machine yeast and was very impressed with the results. The texture was fantastic--light, fluffy, with a chewy crust. Good all-around white bread. Also, I did not dissolve the yeast or salt into the water and the bread was great.

Cheddar Cheese Puffs

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2007
These were ok, but agree with the previous poster who mentioned that the dough was dry. I also added about 1/4 cup of skim milk which helped to form the dough. These weren't bad, but I'd add some Italian seasoning or crushed red pepper next time to give it a little kick.

Albino Pasta

Pretty good, but I'd add some broccoli or even peppers to give it a little more flavor. This is quick and easy and satisfying in a healthy way. I make it with whole wheat pasta and broccoli to make it even healthier. Great weekday dinner.

Good recipe. Just made a batch and it was quite tasty. I'd add a little more cinnamon and nutmeg next time and maybe a hint of vanilla. Very yummy!

This is such a great idea! I've modified the recipe some (3 apples, pineapple, strawberries and a few blueberries), but it still tastes great and all-natural. Always a hit at parties!

This is a great recipe! I made mine for a dinner with friends and they were a big success. We had some left over, and they were just as good the next day.

This one's a winner! I added pineapple and watermelon to the mix and it was great. Didn't even need the sugar--it was sweet enough on its own. Will make this for our 4th of July picnic!
