I liked the banana flavor in these pancakes but didn't like the consistency of the pancake at all. I make Good Old Fashioned Pancakes all the time from allrecipes and like it much better ... I also had trouble getting these a nice golden brown - they got dark quickly even on lower heat. Not bad but not nearly as good as many others I've made. My kids ate them but weren't thrilled either... I doubt I'll make them again.

Whoopie Pies VIII

I think these are pretty good - really 3 1/2 stars... I think the cookie could use a bit more flavor and I think I would have preferred the filling without the beaten egg whites - anyone know why that's in there? I did use butter (instead of shortening) in the filling just b/c I had already used shortening in the cookie and I just couldn't use that much! Overall good though.

Six Can Chicken Tortilla Soup

Really great recipe - I'm giving it five stars b/c it's so easy, otherwise I'd give it four. I did add cumin, cilantro, and garlic powder. I used fresh corn (all I had) and it gave it a nice crunch. Also used vegetable stock b/c it's what I had on hand and did add one can of cream of chicken soup. Very good!

Banana Muffins II

Loved it! Easy and SO tasty. I used 3/4 cup ap flour & 3/4 cup whole wheat flour. Also, added 1 t of vanilla and about 1/2 cup of choc chips. Next time I might try it with apple sauce instead of butter but they were great with the butter.

Buttermilk Pancakes I

Very good... I used 2 T of melted butter instead of the oil, reduced the sugar a bit, and added a dash of vanilla. They were great.

Chocolate Torte

I did not make the frosting but only the cake and it is definitely my new choc cake recipe - fabulous! I made it in a 9x13 pan and it turned out great and frosted with a buttercream frosting. So good!

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

Great taste however slightly runny (even after sitting for a while out of the oven)... and I didn't think the appearance was the best. Wonderful comforting flavor though!

Overnight Coffee Cake

Very tasty - the only change I made was to use pecans instead of walnuts (just personal preference). My only issue was that it stuck to the pan and I greased it very well...

Best Brownies

Let me start by saying I did not make the glaze and I will likely give these another shot with the glaze ... however based on the reviews I didn't think it would be necessary. These brownies were good but certainly no better than a good box mix... they were easy to throw together but I wouldn't agree with the 'best' title. I like the texture but thought the flavor was lacking.

Fried Rice I

Very good, I microwaved the bacon (b/c I hate grease splatter) and probably should have cooked it in the pan for the fat and a bit more flavor - will try that next time. Even so, very tasty.

Chocolate Chip Coffee Cake

I thought this was a good coffee cake, a bit different from the expected but didn't live up to the reviews in my mind. Overall though a good recipe. I used two 9" cake pans and baked for 35 minutes.

Tiramisu Layer Cake

Wonderful cake! I doubled the the liquid to moisten the cakes and it came out perfectly. Also, I forgot to add the cream to the marscapone filling layer and it didn't seem to matter.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Excellent recipe - per other reviewers I added garlic powder & poultry seasoning to the mix - also prebaked the bottom crust for about 6 mintues. Lastly, I increased the amount of stock by about 1/2 cup. Baked for 40 minutes at 375 - turned out wonderful - will make again.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Great, easy pancakes. I reduced the baking powder to 2 teaspoons & added a bit of vanilla. Turned out great! The batter was thick but the pancakes were very fluffy.
