The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

This is delicious! I used light sour cream and green olives and it was delicious! Use low-sodium soup if you can find it, the taco mix makes it salty enough.

A Pad Thai Worth Making

This is tasty though not as good as the Pad Thai from restaurants and it's also on the salty side; you might want to try reduced-sodium chicken broth and soy sauce.

Fresh Tomato Salsa

Awesome salsa! I used to live on the Mexican border and always miss the salsa fresca you could get down there (jarred stuff from grocery stores = gross). I add a clove or two of garlic to this and it is great! I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because unless you like your salsa SCORCHINGLY hot you do NOT need that many Serrano chilies! I put in one jalapeno (seeds too) and it has heat but isn't unbearable.

Creamy Carrot With Curry Soup

This is a good base but it is missing something. Like a previous reviewer said, it's missing a sort of depth of flavor. Next time I am going to try adding a 1/2 cup or so of white wine to see if that gives it a boost.

Doughnut Muffins

This is an excellent muffin recipe, the key to getting the sugar topping to stick is to dip the muffin tops in melted butter as soon as you take them out of the oven, THEN dip them in the sugar topping. When you do that they are perfect!

Basic Flaky Pie Crust

I am only giving this 4 stars because I had to triple the amount of water it called for in order for it to stay together. I tried making it with just the 3 tablespoons and it fell apart and was totally unmanageable. After adding the extra water though it turned out great! Makes a nice deep-dish pie crust.

Grandma's Lemon Meringue Pie

Without a doubt the best lemon meringue pie I have ever had. I juiced two large lemons which worked out to 4 oz of juice and used the rind from only 1/2 lemon and it was tart and zesty but still sweet enough to be delicious!

Aunt Dee Dee's Apple Coffee Cake

I didn't have any canned pie filling (nor do I care for it) so I made my own; chopped up two large granny smith apples and mixed them with the 2 tsp sugar and also 1/2 cup brown sugar. I only had 1 egg so I substituted low-fat sour cream and it turned out GREAT! Will definitely make this again.

Pecan Sour Cream Pound Cake

Chocolate Frozen Yogurt

This was VERY sweet. I love sweet stuff, but this was just too much. I would halve the sugar next time. Also, I did 2 tablespoons cornstarch which thickened it up very well.
