Thousand Island Dressing II

This was perfect with my rebuen sandwiches. Thanks for saving the day since I forgot to get some at the store. But who needs to buy it now when you can make the same exact thing at home!

Chewy Peanut Butter Brownies

I made these on a Saturday and my husband and 2 year old daughter gobbled up the whole batch before I even got a piece. My husband who dosen't really eat sweets told me these were a keeper. I added some chocolate chips but kept everything else the same.

Irish Chicken and Dumplings

This was a nice change from the regular chicken and dumplings. I made homemade dumplings and added about 2 cans of chicken broth. It was very hearty and great comfort food.

Fluffy Biscuits

Decided I needed a biscuit tonight to go with dinner so I gave these a try and I am so glad I did. They were very light, and fluffy. I did however use all butter since that is what I had on hand but kept everything else the same. It was a big hit with the family and I can't wait to try them with biscuits and gravy.

Spider Cupcakes

These were a hugh hit with my daughters Pre School classes Halloween party. I used pipecleaners in place of the legs and used a white cake mix and chocolate frosting. The kids kept calling them "trantualas". Thanks for the cute idea!

Slow Cooker Taco Soup

My husband was craving his grandmothers taco soup so I tried to find one as close to her recipe as I could remember. The only difference was I added ranch beans in place of the kidney and chili beans, and added a packet of ranch dressing. Was great comfort food for a chilly fall evening, and made great leftovers.

Black Bean and Corn Quesadillas

I have made these a few times with rave reviews. The only difference is I sauteed a whole onion and red bell pepper together, added the black beans, corn and seasoned with a package of taco seasoning. Served the quesadillas with sour cream and gucamole. A great recipe for football season!

Fluffy French Toast

I made these this morning for breakfast and it was a hugh hit, even my 9 month old gobbled up almost a whole piece himself. Didn't change a thing. All the flavors balanced out great and it had just the right amount of cinnamon. I mixed the dry ingredients together and I didn't have any problems with the cinnamon seperating. A keeper for a quick and tasty breakfast. Next time I am going to try and make some "french toast" sticks for my 2 1/2 year who loves the frozen ones. A much cheaper and healthy alternative.

Truck-Stop Buttermilk Pancakes

I made these the other morning and first off they made enough to feed a truck stop! So unless you want a ton of pancakes I would advise to cut the recipe in half. Since I had so much batter I made chocolate chip pancakes (very good) cinnamon/nutmeg pancakes (very good) but the plain ones seemed to have a slight baking soda/powder taste. Not sure if I will make again, but thanks for the post

Charley's Slow Cooker Mexican Style Meat

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cake Cookies

I made these yesterday and they turned out great. Followed as written and they were moist and tasted like little brownies, but today they seemed to be a little dry and crumbly. Still tasted great but I was a little disappointed they didn't stay moist. But my 2 1/2 year old who dosen't really care for cookies at 2 of them so they can't be that bad! Will give it another try espically since it might be a bakers error.

Sweet Corn Cake

This was delicious! Used all purpose flour in place of the masa harina and milk for the cream. Cut back slightly on the butter and sugar and it still turned out very moist and a great sweet corn flavor! A must try for a different twist with your mexican dinners.

Jimmy's Mexican Pizza

These were really good and a different twist to our "ordinary" taco night. I layered tortilla (skipped beans since I really don't like them) the taco meat, cheese, tomatoes, green onions, then top tortilla. Baked them on a cookie sheet until the top was crispy and then cut them up in pizza triangeles. My 2 1/2 year old called it yummy taco pizza! Served it with guacamole, sour cream, and salsa.

Yummy Honey Chicken Kabobs

The chicken tasted okay but I thought the veggies (after marinating all day) had a great flavor. These weren't bad but not my favorite recipe. I think I will stick with the Key Lime Chicken.

Quick and Easy Pizza Crust

I am so glad that I put the boxed stuff back and found this great recipe. It was easy and went great with my bar b que chicken pizza. This is a must have recipe on those nights when you want a fast pizza and don't have time for a rising crust.
