Garlic Cheese Biscuits

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2009
Everyone gobbled these down at dinner! I followed some of the other reviews and mixed garlic in the mix and then topped with garlic butter! I have a feeling I will be making these all winter to go with our soups!

Great football food! I usually add more hot sauce and layer the ingredients...cream cheese, shredded chicken, ranch dressing, hot sauce, mozarella cheese. Serve with tortilla chips!

Brooke's Best Bombshell Brownies

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2009
Great brownie...followed others suggestion of spliting the sugar with some brown sugar. I did put them in my 9x13 pyrex and baked them about 30 minutes and they were perfect. My mother in law who normally passes on dessert had 2 pieces herself! Thanks for sharing this great recipe.

Simply the Easiest Beef Brisket

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2009
The only problem I see with this is the cooking temperature. I followed the recipe but cut the temp to 200 and cooked in all night. It was falling apart the next day and was so moist. I sereved it at our Labor Day cookout and got tons of compliments. Next time I will use my favorite bar b que sauce since this one didn't seem to have much flavor.

Hot Chicken Sandwiches II

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2009
By no means is this gourmet but for a quick alternative to take out this hits the spot. I used a big can of chicken breat from Sams Club and a can of cream of celery and cream of mushroom. My kids ate it on buns without much complaints which is always a good thing.

Sweet Restaurant Slaw

I am so glad I skipped the deli coleslaw for dinner. This recipe was so delicious! I did cut back on the sugar and skipped the vegetable oil. I am going to get some poppy seeds for the next batch! Thanks for the post.

Vicki's Hush Puppies

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2009
Followed some of the advice...grated onion,a little milk. They turned out good but I think if I make these again I will add some additional spices, and jalapenos. A good recipe when you have a hushpuppy craving.

Overnight Blueberry French Toast

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2009
I made this for a family brunch and it was well recieved by everyone. Everyone raved about the blueberry sauce.... The french toast part was good but I did reduce the cream cheese by half and added cinnamon/nutmeg to the bread cubes. I will make again for a large group since it was very rich tasting dish.

These were good. I added more lemon juice but followed the recipe other wise. I will make these again for something different and for those that are lemon lovers.

Cinnamon Griddle Cakes

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2009
Very tasty and very easy! I doubled the recipe so I could have extras for the kids morning breakfast. I skipped the corn syrup and powdered sugar glaze, since I was limiting the kids sugar intake. I added about a half tablespoon more of cinnamon but next time will keep to the original amounts. The batter was thick but they spread out nicely and were very moist and fluffy. I will make these again and can't believe this recipe has sat so long in my recipe box!

Baked Garlic Parmesan Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2009
This was so tasty and moist. I will never open up a package of shake and bake again. My three old loved her "chicken nuggets"! This is a must try recipe, and with 2 kids running around the house I was able to put it together in about 10 minutes and place it into the oven. Thanks for the great post and another way to jazz up baked chicken.

Southern Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2009
This was excellent! I did however forget the peaches so I had to use canned peaches (a drained 29oz can) and next time I will double the peaches. I did use only 1/3 cup of the brown and white sugar in the filling and it was plenty sweet. We loved the topping and the cobbler went great with some Blue Bell ice cream.

Todd's Famous Blueberry Pancakes

A very simple and easy breakfast. I could taste some of the baking powder so I might cut back on that next time. The kids gobbled them up and my husband who usually dosen't care for blueberries even ate 2 pancakes.

Tex-Mex Burger with Cajun Mayo

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2009
These were hit at the 4th of July Bar B Que and everyone loved the taste. I made them into "mini" burgers and used the Hawaiian rolls for the buns. Since they were smaller, no one had to choose between the brats and burgers...they could have both! Thanks for the great recipe and jazzing up the ordinary hamburger!

Honey Mustard Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2009
The honey mustard marinade/sauce is just right! The grilled chicken was good...but the next night I tossed it with some romaine lettuce and salad fixins and used the sauce as a salad dressing, and this was a phenomenal combination. Will definitly use this again for chicken salads and the dressing will go into my salad dressing folder to use again. Thanks for the post.

Country Fried Squash

My mother in law and I thought they were good even though my husband or kids wouldn't touch them. I did add some seasoning to the flour/corn meal. I also made some onion rings with the mixture. Simple, easy, and a great way to use up some of the squash from the garden.

Breakfast Pizza I

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2009
The whole family enjoyed this, even my picky 3 year old had seconds. I put this in my 13x9 pyrex and upped the eggs to 8. Added some diced onion and red bell pepper. It turned out to be a great breakfast casserole. Served with salsa, sour cream, and fresh fruit. Yumm can't wait to make it for company.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Great! Followed K. Lynn's suggestions and instead of putting them in muffin cups I used my small pyrex baking dish. Served them at Sunday brunch and they were a hit with our friends, even my picky 3 year old a piece and then asked for more! Thanks for the great muffin recipe.

Yellow Squash Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2009
This was devoured at my bar b que this weekend. I used club house crackers, garlic, and 2 cups of sharp cheddar cheese, but other than those small changes kept it all the same. One guest even told me it tasted better than his moms usual squash casserole. This is a must try recipe and will be used often.
