About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
I love to try new recipes for soups, casseroles, pasta dishes. I am always on the look out for easy week night dinners that I can make for my family. I really like to try new things and new flavors.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I have finally mastered my Grandmothers homemade potato bread recipe. I use to be very scared to use yeast and now I am very comfortable with making homemade breads. It is my tradition to make homemade rolls and homemade cinnamon-raisin bread for Thanksgiving.
My cooking triumphs
Making successful rolls!!
My cooking tragedies
Well when I first got married I made this horrible bisquick recipe, and my first attempt at gravy.......... well lets say I could hang wall paper with it.

Garlic Cheese Biscuits
Everyone gobbled these down at dinner! I followed some of the other reviews and mixed garlic in the mix and then topped with garlic butter! I have a feeling I will be making these all winter to go with our soups!

Chicken Wing Dip
Great football food! I usually add more hot sauce and layer the ingredients...cream cheese, shredded chicken, ranch dressing, hot sauce, mozarella cheese. Serve with tortilla chips!

Brooke's Best Bombshell Brownies
Great brownie...followed others suggestion of spliting the sugar with some brown sugar. I did put them in my 9x13 pyrex and baked them about 30 minutes and they were perfect. My mother in law who normally passes on dessert had 2 pieces herself! Thanks for sharing this great recipe.
