About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
I love to try new recipes for soups, casseroles, pasta dishes. I am always on the look out for easy week night dinners that I can make for my family. I really like to try new things and new flavors.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I have finally mastered my Grandmothers homemade potato bread recipe. I use to be very scared to use yeast and now I am very comfortable with making homemade breads. It is my tradition to make homemade rolls and homemade cinnamon-raisin bread for Thanksgiving.
My cooking triumphs
Making successful rolls!!
My cooking tragedies
Well when I first got married I made this horrible bisquick recipe, and my first attempt at gravy.......... well lets say I could hang wall paper with it.

Marshmallow Treats
These were so good and gooey. My kids and I couldn't stop eating them and they were a hit our cookout. I followed the tips some of the others suggested and ended up using the whole bag of marshmallows and rice krispies with a whole stick of butter. Which was great so I didn't have half a bag of marshmallows hanging around in the cabinet. Thanks for sharing will be making this alot this summer.

Hawaiian Chicken Kabobs
I just used the marinate for some chicken breast since I didn't have the pineapple on hand. These turned out very moist and flavorful. Even my picky 4 yr old who complained about grilled chicken told me this was the best chicken I have ever made! So with that being said I will be making this very often and next time with the pineapple.

Double-Cheese Eggs Benedict
This was my first time to make Eggs Benedict and it was a hit at our Easter Brunch. What a great and elegant dish that took very little time. Don't let the fear of poached eggs scare you. Once I got the time down (3 min.) for my eggs they were perfect and the sauce was very light and tasty.
