Scott Ure's Clams And Garlic
This was a great, simple recipe. I added oregano and red pepper flakes for a little kick. I served this with spaghetti squash sauteed in some of the juice. Thanks!

All-Day Apple Butter
This recipe is so simple and delicious. I used a combination of honeycrisp, granny smith, red delicious and braeburn apples, and instead of cloves I used allspice. I halved the amount of sugar called for (I used xylitol instead of sugar, which is a 1:1 ratio), and it is still very sweet.

Oatmeal Banana Nut Bread
Delicious! My shortening wasn't creaming with the sugar very smoothly, so I added two tbs softened butter to help it along, plus a tiny bit of cinnamon, and did not add nuts (I love them, others in the house don't.) Also, I only had 2 bananas, so to up the banana-flavor ante, I used bananas and cream oatmeal packets. Whenever I make banana bread, I sprinkle the top of the batter in the pan with brown sugar so it makes a hard caramelized crust. Turned out great!
