Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2009
This was good, but kinda salty. Next time I make it, I think I will use unsalted butter, and less baking powder. The texture was great and I will definetly use this recipe again, but I will try and avoid the salty aftertaste.

Tuna Melt Sandwiches

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2009
I made this with a few alterations. I used regular bread and I grilled it instead of baking it. I also substituted the cucumbers, and used chopped dill pickles. But, I am sure it would have been great left alone, but cucumbers in tuna for my family is a no-no =)

Best Ever Cheese Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2009
I use this recipe everytime I BBQ. I make the following changes though...I use Texas toast style bread, you can use french toast bread as long as it isn't maple flavored or something. Then I add a clove of crushed garlic. I only have to put it in the oven for about 8 minutes, and then the broiler for about 2 minutes. It comes out PERFECT! I have NEVER used frozen garlic bread or any other garlic bread recipe since this one. Thank you =)

Detroit Hot Honey Wings

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2009
I have made this several times, but I haven't had the chance to rate it until now =) We love this recipe. I have made it with the cayenne pepper and without. It is great both ways. When my hubby made it without the cayenne he used BBQ seasoning instead. It was just as good. I think I used more honey than what it said, so I guess it just depends on the person barbecuing. Thanks for this recipe. It has gone down into my family recipe book, we use it all the time. Thanks so much.

Fried Rice I

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2009
Perfect!!!! My first attempt at fried rice. It was delicious, I did have to use more water though, and I used a low sodium soy sauce. The bacon and egg makes all the difference!! I will make this over and over. I used a Terriyaki chicken recipe from this site too, and it was a perfect dinner for my family =)

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2009
Delicious!!! The only thing I did different was bake it at 375 and used low sodium soy sauce. I also made a fried rice recipe on this site to go with it. I will use this recipe again and again. My whole family loved it, even the kids =)

Root Beer Float Cake II

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2009
These are perfect with these changes...2 tsp root beer extract and I just used a plain cool whip frosting. This was just the right amount of root beer flavor and so it wasn't even needed in the topping. Thanks for the reviews...and of course thanks for submitting this recipe.

Gerry's Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2009
These are yummy. I kinda messed up the first time and they were still good. I used the extra juice and put it over rice, it was delicious. Also, I have made this as only cheese enchiladas, no chicken....just as good. Great recipe!!!! Thanks for sharing.

Very good recipe. I also used broth instead of water and I added sliced carrots and celery, and when I served it I topped it with grated cheese. It is delicious.

Apple, Cranberry, and Pear Crisp

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2005
This recipe was great! I did make a couple changes. I added cinnamon to the mixture, and placed it in a pie shell. I made the topping as it said to but, I added caramel topping it was to die for.

Texas Ranch Potato Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2003
i do not care much for potato salad because of the mustard flavor. this is a great salad. the only thing i changed was that i actually fried the bacon instead of putting it in the microwave. I also made the ranch dressing myself from a mix and added sour cream. it tastes like a baked potato. its great!

i used cornbread instead of white and wheat bread I also did not use the turkey liver,or the rosemary (i don't care to much for the flavor) and I used smoked sausage instead of ground turkey sausage. the cornbread and the smoked sausage really made a difference. delicious.
