World's Best Lasagna

Absolutely delicious! There was enough sauce in this recipe for 3 layers. My husband, who loves lasagna, said that this was perfect and the best he has had! I did follow some of the other reviews and soaked the noodles in hot tap water for about 25 minutes. After baking, the noodles were cooked perfectly and not overdone. Also, I did add 2 dashes of nutmeg to the ricotta mixture. Yum!

Creole Pork Chops

Added about a tbsp of creole seasoning to the flour just to make it a little spicy. Otherwise, I followed the directions as is and it was delicious!

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

Grilled Chicken with Herbs

Made this recipe as is and marinated the chicken for about 5 hrs. It tasted good, but my husband and I felt that it was lacking something. Perhaps marinading overnight/for 24 hrs makes a difference.

Festival-Style Grilled Italian Sausage Sandwiches

Delicious and easy! We sliced the bell peppers and onions used a grill basket to cook them. Next time I will try spreading some olive oil and garlic over the bread and toasting them lightly.

All American Apple Pie

Delicious! My husband says this is the best apple pie ever! For the topping, I did follow the suggestion of another review and used a 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1/4 cup sugar, with a few dashes of cinnamon, with the other ingredients for the topping (just a personal preference on the brown sugar).

Oven-Fried Pork Chops

Good recipe! I didn't have dry bread stuffing mix and used 1 cup of seasoned bread crumbs. I did add some garlic, onion powder, and salt to the egg mixture.

Guacamole

Don't think I can ever do store bought guacamole again! This recipe was perfect. I did not have any limes and used 2 tbsp lime juice instead. I will try adding some diced jalapeno next time for a little kick. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

Best Spanish Rice

I have tried several spanish rice recipes from this site and this one is by far the best! I did not follow other reviews and feel that the measurements are just right. My rice was not mushy and was not sticking to the pan/pot! I used 1 can of Rotel diced tomatoes with green chilies since I did not have salsa. I did added some chili powder and ground cumin to the rice (just lightly sprinkled over the rice). As other reviews stated, you absolutely must saute the rice first (not brown, the rice should be translucent. Thanks for the perfect recipe!

Grilled Shrimp Scampi

I have made this several times now and it is delicious. Due to a shellfish allergy I've only actually tried one shrimp the first time I made it (any more than 5 shrimp and that's it for me), but everyone else loved it!

Greek Style Garlic Chicken Breast

I only marinated the chicken for two hours and it came out delicious! Can't wait to try it marinading overnight! I think making the slits in the chicken, allowing the marinade to seep in, helped keep the chicken nice and tender. Usually our grilled chicken comes out kinda dry, but this time they were perfect and tasted like the chicken from a Greek restaurant.

Greek Style Potatoes

Very delicious and easy to make. I had all ingredients on hand except for the Thyme (used oregano instead). I didn't feel like heating up the oven or peeling potatoes, so I quartered the potatoes and put them in a Ziploc bag. In a small pot I boiled the 1.5 c. water with the bouillon and set aside. I whisked the remaining ingredients in a bowl and then poured the bouillon in the bowl. I covered the bowl, and put it in the freezer for about 30 min to cool. Then, I poured the liquid in the ziploc bag and shook the potatoes. Cooked the potatoes over the grill on low heat for 40 minutes (used two sheets of heavy duty aluminum foil folded first into a boat to avoid all that liquid running off the counter, wrapped up the potatoes with the remaining foil and wrapped again with an additional sheet of foil). Although there was barely any liquid left when the potatoes were finished, next time I will cut the liquid in half...it seemed way too much and too tricky when first pouring the potato mixture on the foil. Can't wait to try this in the oven as the recipe says it should be made.

Whole Wheat Blueberry Pancakes

These pancakes were delicious! I used 1 tbsp Demerara sugar instead of the artificial sweetener. The batch was too much for my husband and I, so I am freezing the rest of it as another review suggested.

Grilled Asian Chicken

Quick to make and very delicious. The chicken ended up marinating for 30-45 min. I used 1/2 tsp of ginger powder because I did not have fresh ginger, but that is the only change I made. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

The only thing I omitted was the sweet potato since I didn't have any. Otherwise, I followed the recipe as is and the veggies were delicious! Will be adding this recipe to the rotation.
