Best Ever Muffins

These muffins were awesome! I used a little bit less sugar and flour (bc I ran out), and did the baking powder substitution wrong and they still came out great! I added probably more than 1 cup of defrosted strawberries that I coarsely chopped. I preheated the oven to 425 and when I put the muffins in I decreased the temp. to 400. They took about 15 minutes to bake in my oven.

Zucchini Pancakes

Not sure how to rate these since i've never had zucchini pancakes before. The recipe was pretty easy but I thought they were kind of 'eggy' tasty and a little too mushy. Update - I added a bunch of parmesan cheese and some minced onion to the rest of the batter and i thought it was a lot better.

Carrot Cake III

Moist & Flavorful! I made some of the popular changes too - 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce for 1/2 cup of the oil, 1 cup brown sugar and 1 cup white sugar instead of 2 cups white sugar, and an extra teaspoon of vanilla. Unfortunately, I didn't get to try the frosting! Cooking lesson - label your containers. I accidentally used cake flour instead of powdered sugar so no go on the frosting.

Fluffy Pancakes

Just made these for breakfast - it was very easy and turned out better than any pancake I have ever made. Served one very hungry guy and me (he ate 6, I ate 2). I would make these again.

Sandy's Chocolate Cake

Moist chocolate cake that always turns out - I haven't tried the frosting but the cake is awesome. I like to add some instant coffee to the boiling water for a darker flavor. I've made 8 inch cakes, 9 inch cakes, and about 42 cupcakes with the recipe.

Omitted the cream of tartar as recommended by others - turned out very fluffy and moist. Next time might add some cheese and brush with garlic butter for more flavor and better color

Red Velvet Cupcakes

Made the changes suggested by most people - 2 1/4 cups flour, 4 tsp vanilla, & buttermilk instead of regular milk. Turned out very moist - next time might decrease the cocoa powder a little as they were a little more burgundy than red

Brooke's Best Bombshell Brownies

Hard to review since I did 1 cup white sugar & 1 cup brown sugar instead of the 3 cups white sugar called for. Flavor was nice but after 35 mins in the oven they seemed cakey and overdone.

Spinach Pinwheels

I personally thought this was really bland, my coworkers and boyfriend seemed to enjoy it though. I definitely suggest freezing the rolls as other reviewers have stated; it makes slicing a lot neater and easier.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Loved the way these turned out. I made it all in 1 bowl, was too lazy to dirty a bowl & the sifter lol (i hate doing dishes!!!) . I also used half chocolate chunks & half chocolate chips. MMM chocolately. The 1st batch I sprayed the pan w/ Pam & they turned out a little bit to flat/crisp on the edges for my taste so the next batches I didn't grease the pan. Lastly, I made the cookies a little bit smaller than called for. I scooped a good bit of dough w/ my tablespoon measurement. It made 2 dozen.

Soft Sugar Cookies IV

They turned out nice and soft. They still turned out tasty even though I made them way too big (recipe only made 26 cookies) I rolled them into large balls before baking and then frosted them with the decorating frosting recipe.

Decorator Frosting

yum! i added 1/2 tsp almond extract like everyone else. I was 1/4 short of confectioner's sugar, but it still turned out great. I used an electric hand mixer to make things easy.

The Best Vegetarian Chili in the World

Ricotta Gnocchi

My review is just based on the gnocchi. I wanted to like this, but I just couldn't. The bf really enjoyed it, though. I actually made it twice. The first time I made the gnocchi as is and I found it really salty & the Parmesan flavor was intense. The second time I used more flour - I think too much though. I served it with a tomato vodka cream sauce both times.

Ghirardelli® Ultimate Double Chocolate Cookies

These were pretty good- not the best I've ever had though. Dough was pretty easy to make, I melted the chips using the microwave. Hardest part was rolling it into a log. If I were to make this again I would probably just roll them into balls. I reduced the sugar to a little more than 3/4 cup and left out the walnuts.
