Easy Pizza Sauce II

I make this every time I make pizza. If you use "natural" sauce, you may have to add more flavorings, since there aren't any in the natural sauce. But this is so light and yummy.

Baked Meaty Beans

These are very good. My DH just loved them. So many levels of ingredients. I did not have any chipotle sauce, so I couldn't add it. But we didn't miss it either, since we have not had these beans with the sauce, I don't know what it added. My beans were delish! I had kidney beans, butter beans, pinto beans, grandma browns baked beans and navy beans, so that is what I added. Like others I was a bit weary of all the maple syrup, but after cooking it just sits there in the back ground. These are sweet beans, not tomatoey beans. I will make these again.

Soft Molasses Cookies I

These are a cookie. That is all I can say. Not much flavor. 400 degrees! I should have used my own head. TOO HOT! Even at 9 minutes they were too dark and the bottom dark dark brown if not black. I will not be making these again. Sorry I wasted my time and ingredients

Salisbury Steak Deluxe

I usually make the recipe exactly at written the 1st time. But I did make 1 change, I used Ritz crackers in place of the bread crumbs. My husband and I loved this. So tender and so flavorful. I made egg noodles and not potatoes. Oh so good.

Chocolate Cornstarch Pudding

WOW! This pudding is delish! I did take some advice from other cooks and put in less corn starch. Maybe 2 TBLS less. This pudding is now my go to recipe. Make it as the recipe calls for and you won't be disappointed.

Chicken Salad Puffs

I needed a recipe for puffs and this is a great one. When I made the chicken salad I omitted the pineapple. I was concerned that others at the party would like it, so I left it out. I however would have loved it in there and the next time I make it I am adding the pineapple. The cooks that had flat puffs. You just didn't cook them long enough. I know when you take them out they are all puffy, but they deflate if you have undercooked them. SO, after the full 20 minutes, check them by lifting them up of the sheet. IF you feel any weight, they aren't done. Put them back in for 3 minutes more. You will have puffy puffs all the time!

Crabmeat Roll-Ups

This was so disappointing. I made as the recipe stated, but very very boring. Rolling these up were a disaster. The roll broke before I got done and the filling fell out. No need to make again.

Asiago Sun-Dried Tomato Pasta

This was very good. Very creamy and the tomato was just right. I didn't give it 5 stars because: I added more cheese. I didn't see why you had to make the cheese part 1st-then add it later. This made another step that didn't seem necessary. This did however make enough sauce for 1lb of pasta. I will make again, adding the extra cheese.

Old-Fashioned Vanilla Pudding

Easy, tasty and wonderful. I used a pre-made graham cracker shell. I did triple the recipe to fill the shell. I then used the 3 egg whites to make meringue. Oh so good.

Scalloped Potatoes and Onions

Oh my goodness is this good! I always have a hard time making scalloped potatoes. They are either too dry or too wet. Sometimes the sauce even looks like it curdled. I was very interested because it had no milk or soup. I will always make these. I did add some cheddar cheese and 1 tsp of garlic. But these are awesome. I do have to tell you, while these were in the oven, I had an emergency and had to leave the house for 3 hours. I was a bit worried about these, but they were fine and tasted just like I hopefully had intended. Please don't be afraid to make these. They are wonderful. Thanks!

Sicilian Pineapple Pork Roast

1st let me say, I am 45 and make a roast every week. I wanted something other than the normal pot roast, brown gravy and such. So I looked and found this recipe. I made it per the recipe without changing a thing. All I can say is this is the most moist, tasty roast we have ever had. Husband was a bit worried when I told him pineapple and tomato, but after we started eating it for dinner he changed his mind. Over and over he told me to make sure I dont' loose this recipe. It was delicious! I must tell you also, that 1/2 way through the cooking process we had an emergency and had to leave for 3.5 hours. I was then worried, but it was so tender and juicy it didn't hurt it at all. I browned the roast and baked it in my cast iron(Le Cruset) pan and it worked beautifully. Make this one without reservation! A+A+A+ Because I can't give the recipe more than 5 stars I give it several A+'s.

Four Egg Yellow Cake

After reading all the rave reviews I thought "I must make this cake". Well to say I am dissapointed is an understatement. It still sits on the counter uneaten. The cake is so firm almost dry, but it isn't dry, it is just hard and stiff. There is not much flavor either. I even added 3 tsp of vanilla and still not much flavor. I am sadly dissapointed and will not be making this cake again. I was looking for a moist, flavorful yellow cake, I guess I will still be looking. awful

Shrimp Scampi Cheesecake Appetizer

1st this recipe has the worst name, after I got over that and check out the ingredients I was intriqued. After reading all the glowing reviews I found it a must! I made it just as written. But... I found it very disapointing. My guests were not very interested either and they were all eaters. It just isn't that special. And it makes SO much, I had tons lefover. Not impressed, sorry.
