Campbell's® Slow-Cooked Pulled Pork Sandwiches

Delicious. The only suggestion I'd make is to make it the day before. Since the cooking sauce is rather thin, I'd take the meat out, shred it, and with just a bit of the sauce, refrigerate it overnight. Then the next day, skim the fat off for a healthier meal. I served mine on buns with, if desired, a bit of KC Masterpiece barbeque sauce. For a great meal, serve with this site's Sweet Restaurant Slaw. The combination can't be beat!

Very good recipe, but next time I would add less sugar and, to keep it healthier, perhaps low fat or fat free salad dressing. Very nice as is though.

Pineapple Enchiladas

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2009
Wow! So good. Didn't sound like it would be that great, but it sure was. I'm always amused when people say they prepared it exactly according to the recipe, but then proceed to list MANY things they did to change it, add to it, etc. Well, I'm guilty of that, but to a lesser degree. I drained the can of pineapple a bit. And just added to the filling a few cut up Trappey jalapenos (about 6-7 slices) and a little bit of leftover diced cooked chicken(about a 1/4 of a chicken breast). I can assure you though, if you follow the recipe exactly, you'll love this dish.

Very good flavor. I prepared exactly as directed....it was a bit soupy and I probably would cook it a little shorter the next time as the red peppers just sort of blended into the mixture. I served it over egg noodles in a bowl and with the toppings it was delicious. I would make it again. Thanks.

Delicious Black Bean Burritos

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2009
My husband and I really enjoyed these. Go ahead and make a double recipe if cooking for more than two.A good basis to which to add additional favorite ingredients like black olives, guacamole, etc. I made exactly like the recipe said, but used non-fat cream cheese and added some salsa before rolling up the whole wheat tortillas. Good recipe. Thanks.

Pecan Pie V

This pie recipe, for taste alone, definitely deserves 5 stars. I prepared it exactly as directed. I followed one reviewer's suggestion of baking for 1 hour 15 minutes at 300 degrees and the crust browned nicely, not too brown. My only reservation with this recipe would be the way it slices. It did not come out of the pan clean at all.....crumbled. Is there a trick in getting nice slices with this pie? I would make this recipe again except for the "sloppy" slices. I did use a prepared pie crust....a Pet Ritz, but have never had a problem with them.

Bratwurst, Sauerkraut and Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2008
Great recipe and was SO delicious. I used Bush's Home Style beans that has extra brown sugar and a bit of bacon in it. I did not add any extra brown sugar. Did boil one coarsely chopped up white onion in some Dundee Honey Lager beer until tender then added the brat and two stalks celery cut up and steamed covered for an additional 5 minutes. Then after draining browned the brat a bit. Added all the onion, celery and brat to the top of the baked beans and sauerkraut. I was so hungry, I only baked 30 minutes at 350. This recipe is a a keeper! Oh, I used a 16 oz. can of sauerkraut as well as a 14-16 oz. can of baked beans with 6 Johnsonville Stadium (cooked)brats. Enough to feed 3 hungry folks or 4 not so hungry.

Strawberry Dream Cake I

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2008
This recipe was OK, but I think my standard white cake (in a 13 x 9 pan) with two 10 oz. thawed frozen sweetened strawberries poured on the cool cake, pricked with lots of holes with a fork to let the juices flow into the cake, and iced with cool whip or whipped cream is better. It's my standby and always the birthday cake for my husband. Very easy to make.....but loved by all! I did think the strawberry dream cake tasted better on the 2nd day. Too rich and quite time consuming to make.
