In good ol' Crawford Nebraska

I am a 50 year old "housewife" with 2 1/2 grandchildren that are the joys of my life!!! The oldest one, 2 1/2, stands on a stool and helps Nana in the kitchen. I come from a long line of old country cooks and love to cook from scratch. I didn't realize until I was married a few years that you could buy egg noodles in the store. I made that mistake once and my family has never let me forget it! LOL My dream is to move back to the small town in Nebraska my family helped homestead 100 years ago and carry on the tradition of cooking for others. Great Great Grandma was hired to cook for the president whenever he was in the state!! My grandmother was a restaurateur and hopefully, in the next couple of years, I can say good-bye to California and hello Nebraska. Hubby is ready to go but the kids aren't so eager. I don't know if I could leave the grandbabies. I love animals (live in a small zoo), crafts, computers, gardening, movies, and of course cooking!!

Chicken Cordon Bleu II
WOW!!! This was truly wonderful!! A definite keeper but do double the sauce. Followed the directions as written (except for the sauce doubling) and it was unbelievable!! The most surprising part was how incredibly easy it is! I served it on chicken flavored rice. Will impress all you make this for and they will think you spent hours on it. I wish there were more than 5 stars available to rate this!

Baked French Fries I
Really good!!! I didn't use the spices listed, substituted for seasoning salt. Baked at 450 for 45 minutes, flipping once, and they came out PERFECT!! Crispy on outside, soft on inside....real tasty!! Family loved them and will be made instead of buying frozen french fries in future!!
